Excuse me? Outsourcing is common knowledge, but I'm talking about what caused an direct crash. Outsourcing has been more of a steady decline. And even if a lot of jobs are being outsourced, the U.S. is still the largest service based industry, as well as the largest domestic market. Sure outsourcing hurts our economy a bit, but it hasn't been the thing that's been screwing over our entire system. Maybe in the next 20 - 30 years it'll become big enough to impact our market tremendously. And are you really going to play the millennials card? Last time I checked the largest percentage of voters are part of that baby boomer generation. The ones that are retired and gaining all there money through social security checks. And of course people who were benefitting from the Middle East would want stay there, but when public opinion shifts and most of the people who wanted to invade got what they wanted, there would be no reason to stay there longer. Politicians always want to save face no matter what. And duh, sitting and complaining won't solve issues, but it's important to discuss these topics in order to expand a view point or learn a different way of thinking about things. Talking about current problems is better than ignoring them. If it makes no difference to you, then it shouldn't really matter or not if people talk about it.
And a prime example of the idiocies that the Americans are willing happy to accept... Donald Trump.. Really?? He is popular only brcause he is outrageous. He has made a mockery of our system. No party wanted him so hr finances hisself. He says what the public wants to hear and anything he can get away w/ no matter how ridiculous. He calls for Muslims to be ban from our countrt, and in fact all foreigners. He screams close the boarder!! Make America great again, bring back our jobs... All the while his suit line is made in a factort in Mexico. He hollers make the Muslims where a symbol to show, they are muslims. Put them in internment camps... Because after all this is nazi Germany, right? It was wrong for the Germans to do this to the Jewish people, it was Wrong for the Americans to do this to the Japanese and Japanese Americans on U.S soil... Yet Donald Trump screams it and people clamer on about how smart and wonderful he is... Let's not forget his parents were immigrants. Believe it or not I am truly a proud American.. Born and bred Navy brat... But that doesn't negate wrong is wrong, and ignorance is ignorance.
Trump? although forums is not the best place to bring up politics but whatever?. Opinions are like butt holes everyone has one
I'm voting for Sanders, but any Democrat would be better than these Republican clowns. ISIS- Well, we need to work on what makes people want to join a group like ISIS. And they are terrible. No easy answers there. Planned Parenthood- My local Planned Parenthood doesn't even provide abortions. Reproductive health is important. And it takes a man to get a woman pregnant, so why is it just a woman's issue? Sex ed in our schools is pathetic. Every teenage girl should be implanted with a Nuvaring. And if they are funded so much, why was it $200 for my woman exam there when I didn't have insurance? Forgot the other topics, I'm all Nyquiled up ?️
You honestly think public opinion dictates whether we stay in foreign country or not? Then we must have pulled out of Vietnam quick as lightening (baby boomer voters there too) and Korea.. We just went said hi how ya doin' opps the public doesnt want us here best be on our way.. Then we just skedaddled right on out... Or Panama ( I was There during Just Cause btw) the popular opinion was Not to engage.. Again baby boomer population as majority of voters... You are sadly misguided if you believe Washington gives two squirts about the publics opinion.
Clinton is destroying Sanders in the democratic polls. She has the nomination all but locked up. The Republican race with everyone with a name should end with Trump winning the nomination. Both Trump and Carson said they would run as an independent in the general election if they were to lose the Republican nomination. Even though Trump and Carson claim that they would run as an independent, neither would. They would end up taking a large chunk from each other and the republican party would find a way to avoid that scenario. I see Clinton defeating Trump and by a substantial percentage (8-10%) in the popular vote but much tighter in the electoral vote.
Do you think public opinion really didn't influence Vietnam? It's because of public opinion that the after effects of Vietnam were so devastating! I mean there's a reason why veteran care in the United States is so bad now.
Clinton is not destroying Sanders in the public polls. After the first polls in the first debate all the popular polls showed a huge difference in margin between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. It became such a big deal/problem that CNN and some other news stations that were endorsing Hillary Clinton had to delete their polls. Not just that, but Bernie has been getting some of the biggest public rallies to date. His progress has been outstanding especially for being all grassroots funded.
All these people and their un factual statements. Smh, make sure that before you post something make sure there is either. A. A back up story of previous history to support your so called knowledge or B. Quoted facts from either a disclosed or undisclosed trusted source. Or c. It is common knowledge. Because if any of you had any kind of undisputed proof then your statements wouldn't be nullified by any one and no one could dispute the facts of what you laid out therefore your so-called opinions would not be opinions anymore they would be facts and no one could get mad when someone else insults their intelligence.
So public opinion on Vietnam is why the VA is crap?? Hmmm here I was thinking it was because the politicians cut their funding and basically treat the VA as the ugly red headed step child... But hey what do I know, I only spent more then half my life around the military and government. Vietnam vets do not have the same benefits as all other vets due to the fact that Vietnam conflict was never officially declared an actual war, which is exactly what it was. But no we call it a conflict, so our guys who we there got screwed hard. If public opinion had mattered in the first place we would have never been there... If public opinion had mattered we would have pulled out long before we did. So while the VA has issues I do not believe has squat to do w/ Vietnam. If the VA was only crap for our brave men and women who serviced during that conflict maybe I would think different... But the men and womeb who serviced in Korea, Panama, Iraq in the 90s and the ones coming home today are in the same damn boat.
She really is destroying him. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls ... elections/ That link has every national poll. She's up by double digits over Sanders in every single poll. Clinton over Sanders: Monmouth Poll : 33% lead Quinnipiac - Iowa: 11% lead Loras College - Iowa: 32% lead PPD : 18% lead NBC/WSJ: 19% lead Fox News: 14% lead
Well maybe if the government hadn't gave Vietnam soldiers crack, weed, lsd, speed and any drug that was known at the time maybe, just maybe they would get more respect. I for one do not respect crack head soldiers no matter what they did for our country. There's also proof that they burned down villages sexually assaulted women and killed children, slaughtered villages. Probably do to their hallucinations. Yep real war heroes right there. SUPPORT!
Not all of them were like that, nor am I saying all of them were pillars of our society. But one can't use Vietnam as "proof" that public opinion matters to the fat cats on the hill either. There are horrible ppl on boyh sides in any conflict. If I were to condemn all Vietnam vets for the actions of a few, should I be expected to do the same w/ Muslims? Or Syrians?
