Hello! I used to be into forums and story writing. I'm getting back into it again. Constructive criticism is always welcome/appreciated! However, please try to be respectful about it. Enjoy the story! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 1: New Beginnings Here's a simple social equation. What do you end up with, when you have a broken family? The response to this question, is most likely, chaos. But to understand the outcome of an equation, a person must first figure out the process behind it. Take a mother, a father, and a daughter. Throw them into the lower middle class. Now, subtract the mother. What do you have left? A daughter and her father. Pretty simple stuff, right? Now add on alcohol, gambling, and debt. What do you have left? You have a broken father, and a really annoyed daughter. Oh, but it doesn't end there. No, that would be too simple. What do you end up having, when you have a low-life father, and a gullible daughter? You end up with a girl who is willing to do what she believes is best for the family. Despite the fact, that the outcome for both her, and father, will most likely stay the same. Now that you understand some of the background, (you'll learn more about that stuff later), let's flashback to May 16, 2017. At this point in time I am 17 years old, and a junior in high school. Now imagine the reaction of a 17 year old girl, when she walks into her home after school, and finds her father sitting directly across a nicely dressed young guy. I don't know what most people would think, but just by knowing my father, the first thought that went across my mind was: debt collectors. Now, I'm not one to jump into conclusions, so my first reaction was not to run off the opposite directions of my house. No, my first reaction on that fateful day, was to ask the following sentence: "Is everything alright here? Did something happen?" My fathers reaction was the first thing that caught me off guard. He slowly stood up from his chair, gave an awkward smile while scratching the back of his head, and grabbed my hand. "Erm. Samantha, dear, may I please go speak to you in the kitchen?" There's two things a person should know about my father. Yes, he does gamble and is an irresponsible drinker, but if I had to choose the first thing a person should know about my father, is the following: He never addresses me with my full name. Usually it's Sam or Sammy, but Samantha is a never. The first time he ever called me by my full name was after my mom died. The second one is that, he never uses a polite tone of speech. Words like: may, or please, are often unheard of in this house. So when a man gives you a false tone of formality, there's obviously something off putting because of it. Something that's off. So by that second, I knew something horribly wrong was going to happen. Unused wording, the sudden change in fiction? The churning in my stomach began and I started bracing myself for the inevitably bad news. Did his gambling make us lose the house? Did he take out of my savings , and now do I not have any money left in my name? "Samantha dear, you know I love you very much, right?" I nodded my head slowly, and slowly but surely, my heart started beating. Oh god, it was the house wasn't it. We lost it, didn't we? "And you know that I only want what's best for you, right?" I nodded my head slowly again. My heart started beating faster. If it's not the house, what is it? Is he getting into some sort of shady business again? I'm already working part time to help pay off his debt! "Well this young man... The one waiting in the living room... is a very good man..." At this point that anticipation was killing me, things started feeling weirder and weirder. "In fact he's such a good man, that he's going to be your..." "My...?" "He's going to be your..." "Spit it out!" Then, out of the corner of my eye, that same man appeared leaning on the doorway to the kitchen. The next sentence was a blur, and the second after that everything I saw became a blur. But there was one thing I was certain of, I definitely without a doubt, heard this stranger mutter the exact words: "I'm your fiancé Samantha." And at that moment, I knew, that life had quite literally, screwed me over.
Oh yeah, totally illegal. Lol don't worry she's going to put up resistance. And the father doesn't really force her per say. You'll see. I mean you can basically guess what's going to happen by reading how she describes herself as a daughter.
Well obvi it's a drama so romance is totally going to happen. Of course the main element is going to be drama, not necessarily romance, but it's not like I'm going to suddenly make her a ninja assassin lol.
I just searched it up and it's called My Forged Wedding. Either way it's not an otome game were all your romantic fantasies come true so I'm keeping the title.
