I know it's quite early to be shopping for Christmas gifts, but my friends and I are planning to deliver gifts to and spend time with kids in hospitals. I wanted to get some shopping done since there are pretty nice sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The max for now is about $200 for probably 10 (possibly up to 15) kids? I'm planning to up it to $300-400 closer to Christmas. Any ideas for what is hospital friendly, but something that kids would actually enjoy within my spending range? I will gift stat hunt gifts for legit suggestions if you're not already maxed Thank youu!? kɑtɛʀiɳɑ
You could buy them food, medicines, clothes and such. The daily basis necessities basically. You're doing a good work. Keep it up. :')
I'm just worried about food & medicine.. I don't think we're allowed to give them that stuff because of their restrictions. I forgot to call the hospital today
for younger Kids I recommend Stuffed animals. So they can have a Friend by them if they Ever feel Alone. For older Kids Maybe a Notepad or Notebook to Write down what they are thinking or Just Draw when they are Bored. Just to keep them Busy. This can be for Boy and Girls. ?Just my Ideas. It's wonderful that your Doing This for the Kids Sure they will appreciate it
I never thought about stuffed animals I definitely will go a bit overboard with them no matter how hard I try to contain myself ?
Blankets, fuzzy ones. Hospital blankets suck. Board games, cards, more simplistic games. Electronic ones are fine n good but I think old school would be cooler.
Coloring books/Activity books and crayons/colored pencils! Comfy slippers to walk on the cold hospital floors with. Comfy pjs depending on what their situation is and if they're allowed to wear their own clothes. Books, small puzzles, clay/playdoh, sketchbook and pencils, etc. Just my opinion, maybe load up at a dollar store. Give each kid a gift bag with more than one item. For example: a stuffed animal, coloring book and crayons, slippers, a book, and a small pack of playdoh. Just some ideas! It's awesome that you're doing this! ?
If there is a Walmart near you they have the stuff animals that are pillows who are also holding a fleece blanket for $20. It would server multiple purposes and they are cute for kids. Also books may seem like a dated concept but they are nice during long stays at the hospital. (Or the latest teen magazines)
I think books, coloring books, crayons and puzzles are a good idea. Gives them something to do to occupy their time. Stuff animals or dolls are definitely a good idea for the little ones. I think what you guys are doing is an amazing thing. Keep it up
However do note that some kids might have problem with stuffed animals due to watever conditions they are having
Maybe u can hold a christmas party there and spend the time with them , play around with them and gift them little gifts like stationaries im sure it will be an unforgettable christmas for them since not all parent might have the time to celebrate it with them
Books like colouring books , story books is a good idea it helps the kids to spend their time wisely and they are able to learn something new
