  10. Right? Where's Syria's FB flag filter?

    RIP to the 100+ innocent civilian casualties in France.

    RIP to the 1,500,000+ innocent civilian casualties in the middle east during this war and the many more to come from these attacks that the media will not cover.

  11. That whole FB Paris flag thing really pissed me off tbh...society only focuses on what's right in front of them. And FB is trying to come off as empathetic for Paris and what happened, but it's like they're completely ignoring everything else.
    I guarantee half the people who change their profile pic to the flag are simply doing it because it's the thing to do. Highly doubt they actually care. If they did they would do more than add a filter to their profile picture. Our society is disgusting.

  14. Really, because crap like this happens every day in the middle east but you're only gonna bring up France just now? All the innocent kids being slaughtered, but that's not bad enough compared to the small incident in France?

  16. Yup, shortly after making this thread I got news on Beirut and Baghdad. This thread wasn't entirely for France, it's for humanity. What happened in Paris just got me to think about this.

    That violence is an idea that starts so small and grows into something terrible.

    As for the coverage of news, it really is awful that the media chose to report on France at this scale but neglected Beirut and Baghdad and the other countries suffering as well.

    But at the same time, we can only do so much. It is better to care and do something about one issue than to neglect it all because you would feel like you were being hypocritical or something.
