Changing a parenthesis into a multiplication symbol just because they did the same thing would defeat the purpose of the parenthesis in the first place. You can look it up for yourself if you aren't satisfied. I can't explain math well but I'm pretty sure that you can't just assume symbols are exactly the same.
I was trying to say what Brownie here did. The parentheses would only play a part if it was variables or something. The website where I found these pictures explains "When the meaning is unclear, read from left to right." In this equation, it is pretty obvious that the meaning is unclear
But it is still order of operations and you still do multiplication before you do division. That's how its supposed to be done.
The parenthesis is solved! The 2+1 is what is in the parenthesis! Then, it falls into the rest of the equation as it appears left, to right.
No, multiplication and division is the same rank. As with addition and subtraction. You move left right, and perform whichever comes first.
No. PEMDAS is actually Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and/or Division, Addition and/or Subtraction. Multiplication and Division, as well as Addition and Subtraction, are evaluated as they appear from left to right.
I looked it up. 1 and 9 are both right depending on how it's solved. I break up with math now. It's all a lie. ?
6/2(1 + 2) Follow PEMDAS Do we have P(parenthesis)? Yes 6/2(3) Do we have E(exponents)? No 6/2(3) Do we have M(multiplication)? Yes 6/6 Do we have D(division)? Yes 1 THE ANSWER IS 1 ?️ I do miss simple math like this.
