I was going to make a thread today to entertain or something but I didn't feel like it. Something's been weighing on me today. I'd ask you to give me a bit of your time and listen. I want us to think about what just happened in Paris. "But violence happens everyday. People die everyday." And you're right. But it doesn't give us the reason to not care anymore and desensitize ourselves from everything else. Caring is power and I chose to care about this because I feel threatened. Violence of this kind isn't a threat to one nation but a threat to our humanity. I just want us to think about things a little. How all of this violence begins with an simple idea. An initial belief of things. It grows into something else that can hurt other people when we don't keep it in check. We hate each other for our differences and the clashing of our beliefs and put others down who don't think the same way. I just want us careful with how we treat others even in a game. It's a game and it's all virtual but the people we interact with here are real. For most, if not for all, these very real people are the reasons we hold on to the game. There's a lot of great and amazing people here who have a lot to offer if we gave each ofher a chance. Don't neglect respect just because it's easier and please do not forget your humanity wherever you go. Give it some thought. We are all we have got. Thanks, everyone. Nick
Lovely thread I also believe that some of us on here are on here because things aren't working out in rl whether it is told or not.. and this virtual world is what some grasp on to. In a sense, it makes it all the more important to remember what we are saying and how it may impact people.
