If I get this rose, all I will think is "gosh. This is the most generic thing in the world. That person wants an ego boost from seeing me happy. Why would I be happy? I'm damn well not special rnough for them to send me something unique. This message isn't sincere. Whoever sent me this needs to learn to be genuinely kind."
Please elaborate on how this is an ego boost? I also believe that you need to see that you have more self worth than you think you do. Why aren't you deserving? I think everyone deserves to have a message that makes them smile which includes you. Value yourself because you are definitely worth a nice message in something as simple as a rose on a video game. Why did I make this thread? Because I don't want to be the only one with Alucard spreading nice messages through roses. Now people know this is a thing and many strangers, friends, and clubmates have vowed to send roses along to others with their own inspirational messages You can see that many people in the club I am in have commented to show their support. They commented to support me, and the thread explained why I sent the roses to them which was "To make them smile" This is no ego boost. If you know me, you would know that I would do just about anything for my close friends to cheer them up. That is just my personality c: I don't send meaningless messages though. And every message I continue to send will be genuine and honest too. I will catch you off guard and will send you a Rose with a message too. I bet it will make you smile or at least a bit happy/cheerful.
The intention of being genuinely kind is important, I totally agree ? With that said, nice movement.? But sometimes a simple "hey, how are you" some small talk would work too.?
People do charitable things and what not often to feel pride about themselves. "I am a good person", their inner dialogue says: They experience an ego boost. The selfish reward from a "selfless" seeming act.
I like to show up fashionably late to parties. Punctual arrival doesn't mean showing up when the party starts.
