"Psst," a whisper shout came from outside of Colleen's window, followed by little pebbles hitting the glass. "Collie, are you in there?" Colleen rubbed her eyes and looked at the clock, 3am. Typical Ryan. She got up and walked over to her window. When she looked down, she say Ryan leaned up against his Jeep and staring up at her. "Ryan, what are you doing here?" she whisper shouted down to him. He motioned for her to come downstairs and talk to him. Colleen, being the crazy person she is, just opened her window and jumped down. Ryan caught her in his arms. "You wanted to see me?" she said, looking up into his eyes. "Yeah, I did! We haven't hung out just the two of us in a while. I miss us. Let's go do something crazy!" "Like what?" she laughed. "Well, the lake looks awesome at this time in the morning," he told her, smiling down at her. "Come on, it's only a ten minute drive. Let's make a little trip down there." After ten minutes of Colleen arguing about how she'll get in trouble, Ryan finally convinced her otherwise. "We could have been there already!" he teased as they got into his car. "Don't push it," she said softly. Ryan set his hand on her knee as they drove. Colleen loved that. It gave her a sense of security. That's one thing she really did love about Ryan; he always made sure she was okay. He would never let anything happen to her. She didn't know if it was because he was older and mature, or what, but she loved it. "How much longer, Hun?" Colleen asked. Ryan stopped the Jeep. "We're here," he said smiling. He came around to her side of the car and lifted her out and carried her over to the dock. He set her down, letting her feet dangle above the water. He sat down next to her, putting his hand around her waist and pulling her close, once more making her feel safe. "Ry, baby it's so pretty," Colleen said dreamily as she looked at the moonlight dancing upon the water. "It's a close second to you I guess," he said and kissed the top of her head. She set her head on his shoulder and they sat there in a peaceful silence. Ryan squeezed her thigh teasingly and she smacked him playfully. Then she got lost in thought. Ryan knew that look. That look was either really good for him, or really bad for him. He looked at her worriedly. "Babe, what are you thinking about?" "Ry, I think I'm finally ready."
