Cleo walked out to what seemed like another boring day. Her oversized bleached jacket clung to her body which made her feel warm and protected. Her denim jeans were loose and her hair was pulled into a half decent ponytail. But despise her appearance she was a nice looking girl. The cold fall air hit her face like a slap from an unpleasant person. She pulled her hood over her head and began to walk down Bullavid road. She reared the stop sign that her bus usually picked her up every morning would stop. Her spongebob backpack was dirty and seemed to have been soaked in mud. Cleo wasn't feeling herself today, or none of these days exact. Cleo daydreamed about her and her ex boyfriend Neil. He was a strong buff guy with a kind heart and a nice body. They had been dating for two months until he decided to get the snoozy Lori Saxks cheerleader over her. She reminisced about the days he would cuddle with her and kiss her forehead. Or how he made her stomach turn when she got a scent of him. While she was daydreaming, her bus ride up to her and honked its horn, leaving her jumping in surprise. She walked up the bus stairs in a hurry and gave a quick glance at Mrs. Laris. "Pay attention Cleo," Mrs. Laris warned. Cleo smiled and nodded her head before taking a seat next to her best friend Susie. Susie was beautiful with Coco brown skin and long black hair. Her eyes were naturally gray but for some reason, Susie always covered them with blue or green contacts. It wasn't just Susie's appearance that made her beautiful, it was also her luxurious curves that made boys stop and stare. "Hey girl," Susie smiled showing her perfect white teeth "Hi," Cleo said "Ugh, hoodie and jeans again? What happened to the stylish Cleo that showed off a bit of skin?" Susie replied frowning "She died when her ex boyfriend lost his heart," "Dude, stop talking about this guy, look I have lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss, blush, even some foundation to put some color in your face," Cleo felt her face, she knew Susie was right, her face had went from perfectly peach to whiter than snow. Cleo shook her head and looked at the dirty bus floor "Nah, I'm not ready for makeup yet," "You said that yesterday," "Yes and I'm saying it today," "Look, you have tease him, show him what he's missing out on. Show him how sexy you are when you aren't with him, he'll want you back for sure." "I don't want him to want me back , I just don't feel all girl today," "So what do you feel? Bummy? "Actually...yes, I feel very bummy today," Cleo replied teasingly "Haha, I see, do you need spare change madam?" "Oh yes, my stomach has been empty for weeks!" "Oh I think I have a quarter," "A QUARTER?!?! WHAT ON EARTH WILL A QUARTER DO?!!! " It will give you money to have in your pocket," "How absurd, " "Fine , NO QUARTER FOR YOU THEN!" Cleo and Susie laughed
Minutes later, the bus peered around Madison Street, just around the corner from Cleo's school. Cleo soon put her hands over her face and gave a loud sighed, disturbing Susie from putting on another layer of Black Cherry lipstick. "Ugh, shush Cleo," Susie replied in irritation "Sorry, I just don't want to go inside that school," Cleo replied sadly "Well you have to suck it up, you should let me put a bit of makeup on you, I can finish way before we get on the next block," "No thanks, besides, I don't wanna have blotchy skin like I had before when I wore makeup," "Shut up, you only got that much blotchy and sweaty skin was because you never tried to wash the makeup off before going to bed." "Oh, yeah blame me for my blotchy skin," "Haha, that's what I do baby," Susie smiled putting her lipstick back in her designer Micheal Kors hand clutch. "Why do you buy such expensive stuff?" Cleo replied glancing at the hand clutch "What do you mean?" Susie replied, taking out a small mirror. "Like, isn't Michael Kors super expensive?" "Sometimes, well....all the time," "How much did it cost?" Susie reached in her hand clutch and pulled out a crumbly old reciept, Cleo saw the price and gasped. "300 dollars for a handbag?!?!" "Yes baby," Susie smiled confidently "You could have bought anything else but you choose to spend 300 dollars on a small HANDBAG?!?!" "Hey, you know me, always wanting the best for myself," "Yeah, that's you, " Cleo sighed "Don't sigh that way, makes me wanna slap you," "I would actually enjoy a good slapping," Cleo smiled " I would actually enjoy giving you one, " Cleo gave a slight giggle before looking past Susie out the window, her stomach turned, she sat back and closed her eyes until the bus stopped in front of various other buses. Susie climbed over Cleo and ran off the bus, Cleo waited for everyone to get off the bus, she hoped they would take their slow precious time, but they were all quick and swift. Cleo sighed as she looked back to see if anyone else was walking to the front of the bus where she sat, her disappointment showed when there was not a single person left on the bus. She glance at the bus driver in the view mirror and she smiled and gestured her off the bus. She got up from her seat and got off the bus slowly. 'Great' she thought,'Here comes hell fest' she replied as she got near the opened doors where Mr. Stevens, the vice Principal stood asking for student IDs. Cleo clutched her backpack and pulled out her ID. She loved her picture, her hair was curly and light brown, her cheeks were bright pink and her face looked phenomenal. What was best, was her smile, she missed her smile. She wished she could see it more often. She showed her ID to Mr. Stevens and he gave her a friendly smile. "Have a nice day," he replied "Thanks Mr.Stevens." Cleo walked through the door and clutched her backpack on her left shoulder. 'Great, metal detectors' she thought as she walked through one. A security guard checked her backpack thoroughly and threw it to her. She frowned and headed to the cafeteria. "Wow, someone's pushy today,"
Cleo reared to the cafeteria where there were other High School students getting breakfasts and just talking to each other. Cleo saw her friend Caroline. Caroline was 4'11 with hair that was long and luxurious. It was purple and silky and it reached to her large rump. Caroline was the hottest and shortest girl out of the whole school. Her skin was perfectly tanned , her face was to round and small, which made her look sexier, and her style summoned boys like a honeysuckle attracts bees. Cleo ran over to Caroline and gave a hug from behind, being alarmed Caroline turned around with shock, but calmed down when she saw it was only Cleo. "Hey Cleo," Caroline smiled as she leaned on Cleo giving her a hug. "Hey, Bubble butt, what's up?" Cleo asked. "Aquoin just asked me to homecoming," Coraline smiled "What? That cute Asian guy?" "Yup, but also did like 80 other guys," Caroline laughed "Your so lucky, " "Not really, being bombarded by 30 guys at the same time isn't exactly...'lucky' it's irritating and it makes me get a headache,' " Oh shut up, those guys that ask you out are hotter than fire, you should like that, you feel beautiful. " "Whatever, trade places with me for a day," "I would actually LOVE that, do you have a potion for me or something ?" Cleo laughed "I'll let you know if my evil aunt Hilda can brew up anything in her lab," Caroline replied giggling. Just then, Cleo's ex walked up to Caroline and gave her a warm hug, not even glancing at Cleo. Cleo kept her head down and walked to the other side of the lunchroom. She had been hot to not, cool to uncool, and taken to single. She sighed as she sat on a lunchroom table. A couple minutes later, the Bell had rung for first period and Cleo jotted out the door. She made her way to her locker. She put in her combination. "Alright, 45-0-22," she replied as she twisted the knoib right left and right. She opened her locker and took out her Science book, putting her backpack inside her locker. She hurried to her 1st period, as always, she was the first one there, she sat at her seat at the front row, she grabbed her pen from her pocket and started copying notes from the board. Ms. Helen, greeted Cleo with a warm smile, "Good morning Cleo," "Good morning Ms. Helen," Cleo replied still copying the notes. "Oh, take your hood off honey, that's against school policy." Cleo did as she was told and continued to copy the notes. A few seconds later, Arnold Byseple walked in and sat behind Cleo. Arnold was a scrawny kid with thick glasses and bad acne. Even though all that Arnold had a lot of friends, more than Cleo. Arnold tapped on Cleo's shoulder, Cleo turned around "Yeah?" Asked Cleo irritated. "Can I borrow a pencil? I lent mine to your ex," he replied "Sure," Cleo replied, she dug into her backpack and threw the pencil in the back of her, but she threw it harder, knowing the pencil would go farther than to his desk. And it did, Arnold stood up and grabbed the pencil. He sat back down and whispered to her. "Hey don't hate me because your pregnant,"he replied " Wait..what?" Cleo asked turning nearly the whole desk around "Yeah, everyone knows, that's the reason he dumped you, because he found out it wasn't his? It's some guy from California?" "What no? I'm not pregnant, and I never hooked up with a guy from California," "Try telling that to everyone else," Cleo turned in her seat and sighed and put her head down, she felt like crying, but oddly no tears fell from her eyes. She shook her head softly and stared at the graffiti on the desk.
Finally, the second bell rang and Cleo raced out the doors, she hurried to her locker, lookin around visuality. She hurried to do her combination and she ran to her Spanish class. She made it to the door where Mr. Santos stood, giving her a warm smile. " Hola mi estudiante," he replied "Buenos días Sr. Santos," she said as she sat in the front seat. "Did you practice your numbers?" He asked walking over to her "Yes, Mr. Santos," "Good, because I'm going to need to ask you your numbers right now, just to get it out the way, I want you to say.....words from 1 to 20 in español," "Yes, uno, dos, de tres, de cuatro, de cinco, de seis, siete, ocho, y nueve, decena, las once, doce, trece, catorce, de quince, dieciséis, dieciséis, dieciocho, diecinueve, de veinte." "Buena chica trabajo," he replied "Gracias Señor,"
