On October the pathway I'll be posting around octoberfest weekend will be the Renin-Angiotenisiogen-Angiotension pathway in other words how our body retains water and salt in the body. And don't get me wrong I will post this not to discourage drinking just to explain how your body keeps hydrated. I for one will be partaking in Octoberfest. I hope it will be liked more then skeletal muscle I'll try to explain this pathway more easy to understand!
I've already learnt about it, remember the nerd convo. I just wanted to see how others took it and how you managed to it explain it in easy terms
Oh yah ? lol I remember now, I tried to simplify it as much as possible but many people still had some trouble understanding it I hope you enjoy the pathway TC-MrProcrastinator!
Yah ? I should have done an easier pathway 1st or done that one once I got more experience on forum postings ?
Did you draw those drawings? It is very good, I think it's just a harder level of bio, I learnt that one a lot later on. ?
Yes I drew it on the white board, this was a drawing that I was taught by my anatomy/physiology professor 2 years ago.
They helped me as well once you draw it on paper it practically explains how it works I'm glad he made that pathway for the class.
Not really I wish it was lol, dehydration of the body affects the brain the most one way to avoid a hangover the best way is to drink water before bed and drinking gatoraid to increase salt in the body which helps to reabsorde water. If beer was healthy I'd drink more often lol.
The only reason why I ask is because beer has "Alcohol" and alcohol is used to kill bacteria that is bad for the body. As for water itself, it does have bacteria in it, basically drinking unclean water. That's why I asked op.
Alcohol does kill bacteria but you should never place alcohol on an open wound unless it can't be helped you should use hydrogen peroxide to clean wounds and kill bacteria, Alcohol on open wounds burns/stings because sure you are killing bacteria but alcohol is also killing your own skin cells. Try to use an ontiment like neosporin or any antibiotic that has "polymixine b" this kills bacteria that can't be killed by hydrogen peroxide.
Well I'm not really talking about placing it on an open wound. I'm talking about like drinking the beer that contains alcohol. Obviously of course we would not drink the Straight Alcohol that is used for Medical Treatment. But there are alcohol contents in the beer that not only dazzles our mind and sight and speech, but also kills the bacteria as we consume it. As for the water, unless it's not filtered, we consume the water and we are letting in bacteria that could probably cause damage. Basically OP, I'm really interested in learning more about dehydration and how it can be prevented. Obviously drink more water but ik there's more to it than that.
Ohh my bad, water we drink has small amounts of bacteria and it does go through treatment the treatment all depends on what state and city you live in and the microbe content they, allow. But alcohol as in beer also contains plenty of bacteria because of how beer is made most beer is made by fermintation which is a prosses of breaking down yeast(with the use of bacteria) sure some bacteria is killed but the sour taste you sometimes get in beer is a bacteria. Its not easy to get ride of bacteria they are a hearty bunch there is always a acceptable amount of bacteria in beer. But that is a good question Too-chill sorry for miss reading/understanding your question.
Oh its fine. I'm glad that you actually answered this question without trolling. Usually, my teachers would keep telling me the same answer but I'm glad I got this answer from you. More questions might be asked (if I have any) when you make this dehydration thread.
