  17. Hannibal Rising - Thomas Harris
    *There's a series, but Hannibal Rising is my favorite. It's basically explaining the life story of how Hannibal became a cannibal. It's a great book if you're into psychological thrillers.
    I Am The Messenger - Markus Zusak
    The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
    *Both really great reads about character and how people affect one another.
    Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher
    *Kind of a mild start if interested in reading books like the ones as described above by Zusak.
    The Pilgrimage - Paulho Coelho
    *Great story about finding one's own path and learning how to be a better individual.
