Let me see if I can make sense for this idea I have in my mind. Because of my GED education, its hard for me to translate my thoughts into a physical form for others to comprehend. This contest is for those who have a 1 year badge or higher, to find one player that is new to pimd, they can not be no more than 6kcs. The goal is to groom and help upgrade the person they pick. Whoever person has the highest kcs wins...or the strongest which we can have all the participants enter a club, to see who is the strongest of our experiment. The winner will get a ec gift from each individual and I personal will purchase a cat for the winner. If I don't make sense, I am sure its someone reading this can give a better understanding of what I am trying to create.
Pretty sure the basic idea is to motivate the vets into helping new players grow and learn the game beyond an over glorified chat room
How long are you giving older players to teach their new school students? What's the deadline on this?
That's what the grooming part is for. Sell them the game. Persuade them that it's good. You can learn persuasion techniques online if you're not confident with your own abilities.
The Contest: Players with 1+ year(s) experience take on newer players under 6kcs. The experienced player is to teach their noob how to play and upgrade. Whichever noob has grown the most by the deadline, his instructor will win prizes. The prizes would include 1 EC gift per participant of the contest (I'd imagine this means the vets, not the noobs), and MICGOZ will gift the winner a cat. Don't know if anyone actually needed that, but I just wanted to bb code. ??
Only a small problem with that and it's been suggested, is that alts could be created and it wouldn't be known. But it's a great idea to teach others how to grow and such.
Just find a noob, put them in b2b, drop cats for them til they big and HOOKED on cc, then eventually they gonna just dvp you cash for more cats... Common drug dealer scheme
I think your heart was in the right place trying to see what you could come up with to strengthen the PIMD community. Support, because it's something and growth has to start somewhere.
