(Accepted) Cameron freezes, staring at Drew. "Well if I knew you were alive, I would have sent you one," he comments before looking at Lauryn. "I did say I needed to speak to you after," Lauryn says quietly, looking at her tablet and answering an email. Daisy glances back and waves at Drew before facing the front and smirking. "Strange child," Olivia mutters.
"I wasn't alive until 6 months ago." Drew turned around. "Come find me once both of you are done." He said before walking away.
Cameron just stares at the door, his jaw slightly dropped. Lauryn shuts his jaw before looking up at the hall. "We'll be split in two teams. A defensive team run by Cameron and the acting team run by me. We've matched you up according to your skills, but if you want to swap let us know after everyone else goes. It's a masquerade ball so it will be easy to get into. But you have to work as a team and be extremely alert in this mission as there will be a lot of distractions," Lauryn states. Kyle raises his hand. "Who was that?" He asks. Lauryn freezes this time before quickly recovering. "That's a tale for another day." "Hang on, is that..." "Another day Olivia," Lauryn cuts Olivia off mid-sentence.
Richard lights another cigarette, leaning against a wall. "How is bandage here supposed to blend in exactly?"
Ford turns to Richard, taking no insult. "That is a good point, but my question is, how do we know in which team we are?"
"I wouldn't light that if I were..." Olivia gets cut off by the sprinklers turning on. Lauryn shrugs. "We can go with he's one of those people when they see costume they don't do it half-heartedly. As for the teams, with me on the acting team it's Daisy, Evan, Kaliya and Olivia. Jacob will be helping us as well, so we're stuck with him unfortunately. The defensive team by default is Dom, as apparently Cam has convinced him to leave his room, Ford, Kyle, Mina and Richard. Cameron is leading your team, with back up of Spade and... Why is Edward coming?" Lauryn asks Cameron. "Lookout for the van," Cameron says. "Okay. Then there's Edward helping surveillance in the van."
Richard sighs, throwing away his now unlit cigarette. "So what exactly does this 'defensive team' do?"
Cameron grins. "Right, basically on the night of the ball, the defensive team's role will be to watch the important people the pair are targeting. Also you'll be watching the acting team's back and intercepting tampered items, most probably food and drink when it passes you. You have to have sharp eyes and if any of the acting team gets in a bit of trouble, discreetly help them out," Cameron states. "And finally he defrosts after all the important bits which I had to read off the sheet in his hand," Lauryn mutters.
Lauryn rolls her eyes. "Yes and no. They don't know about these threats or of us agents. We're mainly looking at how you work together as a team. This is your first mission here and we don't want it to anyone's last either, no matter how much they annoy you," Cameron states in a firm tone. "Uh oh," Kyle and Olivia murmur sinking in their seats.
Ford leans back interested. "Well then. Protect the rich." Turns to Richard "Looks like we'll be working together, Smoke."
Richard's smirk disappears, turning into a face of anger. "Sorry, but I'm not saving their asses when none of them do any good for the little people."
Ford shrugs "Not saying, they're good lads. But we were given an order lad, can't just stay around and sit here."
"Uh oh," Olivia mutters. Cameron scowls, standing up to get off the stage. "Watch your tone Richard! There are government officials there that we need to watch as well, one being the big boss," he states.
Lauryn sighs before pushing Cameron out the hall. "Go to your office, chill. I'll wrap up here," Lauryn says quietly, taking the crumpled paper from Cameron's fist. Cameron nods before walking down the corridor to his office. "Wow, kids these days," he mumbles.
