Last but definitely not the least! TOKYO We first headed over to the Sensō-ji temple which is the oldest temple in Tokyo. Across the temple is the Nakamise Shopping Arcade where shop owners have been around since the 1800s. Driving around Tokyo, we passed by the Tokyo Sky Tree located in the Sumida Ward. At 495 m, it’s the world’s tallest freestanding broadcasting tower. See how it touches the clouds already? We were on our way to an even more popular tower though. At 333 m, this is the second tallest structure in Japan. It was built in 1958 and its design was inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. There’s a window you can step on in the observation deck so you have an idea of just how high it is. It’s pretty safe though! I jumped on it a couple of times. We also took a quick visit to the Imperial Palace but you’re not exactly allowed inside so that’s quite a let down. D: Anyway, we went to Tokyo Disney Sea as well. It’s the only one of its kind in the world and the only Disney theme park to serve beer! I wouldn’t want to take up too much of your time so I’ll only share two attractions here. This is the Tower of Terror! It’s a pretty fun ride where you basically ride an elevator and they drop you. Yeahp. They make sure you get a really good view at the top of the tower before they drop you too. Good stuff. And lastly, I got in Andy’s room! (The Toy Story kid for those of you who don’t know.) See the gigantic door? The idea is to make you feel like one of the toys in the movie as you walk around the house. So that’s it for my Japan series! Japan’s a really great country so do try to visit. It’s much cheaper lately too but regardless, it’s always worth visiting. I already miss it actually. See you and good night!
Haha, every time I see these pictures it makes me want to go back. I've actually got some of my own pictures as a rotating desktop wallpaper. PS: For the Imperial Palace, while you can't actually go inside the palace if you reserve in advance you can tour the grounds themselves.
I've been drowning my sorrows in the FamilyMarts we have around here. It's just NOT THE SAME. And I miss their paper. Their money, toilet paper, newspaper, is all so pretty. Next time I do visit though, it would be in a better season and I shall have more sushi.
Let's not forget how gorgeous the Japanese are? But everyone knows I'm biased towards Asians??Anyone wanna donate money to help move me to an Asian country? Thank you
Haha yeah. I miss just walking around exploring and finding something new and exciting around every corner. The scope of Tokyo is insane. One day I ended up walking for 22km exploring.
The next time I get to Japan, it won't be a tour and I will explore to my heart's content! And maybe bike around like they do.
When someone feels close enough to* PimD to share personal photo's/ events of their lives on forums. LOL
