  8. Well idk if this helps but football in America is the game with 4 quarter(s), which is the NFL. However football in London is well football.. which is the Premier League & Champions League. Soccer is America's word for football so that it's easier to differentiate between American football and British football. So in a way, soccer in America is the same as football in London. Rugby however is different from through American football. Although it has the similar shape and size of an American football and the objective is the same too but the game is different. In Rugby a player is only allowed to tackle the opponent below his waist. However for American football it's different that's why the uniforms consists of a helmet while on the other hand the game of Rugby doesn't. As for Australians their football is Rugby and they use the word soccer to define British football. So in conclusion..

    American football ≠ British football
    Rugby ≠ American football
    Rugby = Australian football
    Australian soccer = American soccer.

    A Rugby ball is most likely to be in the colour white / yellow.
    An American football is the brown coloured oval shaped ball with the white stripes.
    British football, American soccer, Australian soccer is the round white and black colour ball which sometimes can be in another colour than the original colour in cases like the World cup.

    Hope this helps. Okay.. bye.
