I follow back to see what they want.
I also watch how big me friends list gets though so if people follow me for the heck of it I unfollow. If people want to get my attention they tell me to follow them on my wall.

ignore them, regardless of stats. I only follow back if i know the person, they say on my wall why the followed or if i know the reason already
