Typical woman, can't just tell you the answer when you ask a question. 

 

I was told 42 was the answer to life.....

it's not math, it's logic and elimination

 

I just read the answer and explanation for this and I'm still confused....it still doesn't make sense to me....

If Cheryl told Bernard the day is 18 or 19, Bernard will know her birthday is June 18 or May 19. So that leaves July and August.

Bernard knows the dates can't be 14 bc there are 2 14's - July and August. So that leaves July 15, Aug 15 and Aug 18.

For Albert to know the date, the month that was told to him by Cheryl is July bc there's only one date in July but two in August.

Hence, July 16.

All in my own words. If you can't come to terms with it, don't feel bad you couldn't solve it

 

How does removing 18 and 19 remove May and June, exactly? Bernard also knows the date can't be the 14th because Cheryl told him the date, duh. Nice try, though. If you're going to google it, at least comprehend it before paraphrasing.

if it's 18/19, Bernard will know it's may/June and he can't know. hence you gotta eliminate the whole month of may and June. duhh. prove before making accusations.
