Okay, some people clearly have issues understanding this thread. It's not a joke at all, it's not supposed to be funny at all. I am an Intern Student in a halfway house and I saw that picture, it's the month of awareness of domestic abuse and respect of women. Now, some people seem to think I made this thread to start a joke or something, but they're wrong. They've been using a trend to add an important message. "It's no illusion" and they've done great. Just wanted to share, but I guess some people takes it differently. It's 2 am.
I think domestic violence month is in October or November. March womens history. But yeah, I saw this pic on the bird app and thought it was really clever. "Support" (even though theres nothing to really support here)
Yes, I'm just aware that our current month has something to do with women, we work with a lot of preventions at the halfway house.
Because it's been a huge "trend" and some people see white and gold, but some don't see the black and blue(which represents the bruises)
I think its a metaphor (idk if I'm using it right or not) some see black and blue, which represents bruises. Others see gold and white, representing innocence or the phrase "ignorance is bliss" which means they don't see anothers struggle aka abuse.
I noticed the bruises before the dress maybe certain people need to be more aware if people notice the dress before the bruises?
So many good post to be quoted. I know it's annoying to quote, but I have people that only noticed the dress and completely ignored the bruises.
And in all honesty I think that's what this is meant to bring to light. People look to much at certain things but are blissfully unaware of others plights.
Oh no I get the methophor just didn't have to use the "trend" that's all lol I no it fits in with the message tho
