Where in the tou or the forum rules does it say you can't bump an old thread???? Because I just saw an old thread get locked because it was bumped. No reason other than stating " no bumping old threads, this is now locked."
I mean that's just odd. I even read the rules of forums and it says nothing about not being allowed to bump old threads.
I don't know exactly where it says you can't bump older threads, I'll look into it. But I know that people can and have gotten forum banned for bumping too many old threads.
ToU in a way doesn't not cover all of forums. The Rules of Conduct focuses more about Forum rules. TOU is more In-Game
I read something about EXCESSIVELY bump not allowed. Something like if the last five posts are "bump", just let it die.
Most forums don't allow necroing threads that haven't been touched in over 3 months. It's irritating, and if whatever you needed to say was that important, you can make a new thread.
bumping old threads isn't against the rules. But mods started locking old threads that got bumped bcuz players thou it was funny to bump many at a time and they were mostly useless threads. So in that case I believe they counted that as spamming. Most mods did atleast give a player a warning if they did on that thread before locking it.
