I've suffered from depression from years but generally don't feel the need to whine about it on repeated forum threads....
I'll be a counsellor All they do is listen and draw pictures on a pad..I know I've been to a lot of them because I talk to my best friend that's really not there to others. Makes me look crazy but I don't care what others think.
I haven't seen any depressed people around here A lot of complexed people, yes, but not depressed
Sometimes talking to a stranger about your problems, knowing they will never know what you sound, look or act like is ten times easier then talking to a helpline, counsellor or psychologist! Which is why a lot of people suffering with depression, anxiety etc. turn to apps like this and chat rooms! It gives them a voice, and though no one mightn't listen even writing their problems for anyone to see is a huge help! This is my opinion, disagree if you will! But if anyone has anything they would like to talk about in confidence to a complete stranger, hit me up ️ From Shan, a sufferer of seasonal depression
As someone who used to suffer from depression, i would have never come to pimd for help, this place is full of pervs, trolls and insensitive bitches(of which i am one of those insensitive bitches) I had friends in real life that understood me and my situation and helped me through it even when i never asked for help. They knew when something was wrong and were there for me. For those of you out there that are currently suffering from depression and don't have friends like that, it's time to get new friends and people who can be there for you in real life. Your online buddies aren't gonna be there to comfort you when you're crying, or there to stop you if you start to cut or are about to commit suicide. Get real life help, see a doctor, a therapist, keep talking until you find someone in REAL LIFE who cares and can help you through the depression. (And for the record no the cutting and suicide did not refer to me)
I agree with choro Additionally, it's like saying that so many people who attend the cinema/eat at mcdonalds/etc have depression so they should provide support. There's going to be a percentage of people who play flappy birds that have depression. Support exists or speak with friends, not strangers on a game. It bogs other people down. I would have all the time in the world for a close family/friend & would be sensitive but don't need that stuff presented to me from strangers
M8 you don't know what I have dealt with and you never will because its a game full of morons, wannabe trolls, and asshole. Walk your little depressed ass to a gym, find the closest punching bag, lay Into it. Best solution ive found.
M8 u shud try 2 sk8 m8 it will help all ur problems Mi and my homies we sk8 and drink Mountain Dew because we thugs and it helps mi be k
I personally hate even leaving my house, and skating isn't something I want to do. And yes, there is a line for even the human mind to deal with. A lot of people cannot go and get help because once they cross the line, it is really debilitating and it forces them to avoid help lines. Then they go and search online for someone to talk to, and not for someone to tell them to go get help
But that's your situation, not everyone else's. Plenty of people suffer from depression but don't make repeated emo forum threads about being miserable and how everyone should be nice because they're so unhappy etc
that's right, but that is because they can't find their voice, and since they cannot find their voice they cannot make any threads, and because of that, they would usually tell people online somehow that they will commit suicide, which is kind of a last resort to see who cares before they say goodbye forever. Please don't let people say goodbye, it means the end basically.
The only "depression" I see on here, aside from some things in my pm, is the fake attention seeking loser that say stuff like: •I'm depressed, no one likes me, I think I'm going to quit •My life sucks, I'm going to kill myself, bye pimd️ (Example stated above is usually the people you still replying to people on their walls for the next like hour, disappear for a few days and their "sibling" found this game on their phone and took over or they say they ended up getting caught, etc.) I'm pretty sure everyone has had depression one point in their lives, if they're as "fragile" about it as you're describing, they need help. This game doesn't help people, some of us, including me, aren't nice. I don't see why they'd think we'd help them off a cliff because some of us might say something like "Do a flip!" And even then guess what happens when you post something about suicide (I know this thread isn't about it but if they're depressed and we're being mean...) you get silenced.
