But wouldn't proof require more pictures, and even those some could criticize as being false. I feel that once you accuse someone, that person is stuck with the catfish title.
Not really. I've been accused lol. Anyone can easily write their name on their hand in a pic to prove it. And if there's nothing to hide, there's no reason not to.
I could careless what anyone looks like lol as long as their personality is still the same. I always forgive those who were because nobody is perfect everyone makes mistakes or just insecure
I usually thought it was based off people judging me/someone else. Hiding yourself from the Internet is alright but it's better to stay quiet then to send a fake picture. Sources - Myself. P.S. When I catfished, it was an experiment. I had to make it obvious so I posted a good 4 selfies, ask me anything.
The answers to 1 and 2 are simple, cat fishing can impact other people what if you fall in love or whatever and realize the person isn't the person they said they was? Lies destroy relationships, if you find out your best friend lied about being a nurse (cat fishing jobs) and lies about what they look like doesn't that affect the way you see that person? A liar is am untrustworthy person who built a relationship out of false pretenses
I think if you're being accused of being a catfish for not revealing you identify then that's stupid. Because that's not even what catfishing is. If you have already given people information and a picture that they believe seems fishy then that is grounds for a catfish accusation. Because honestly anyone can be a catfish. There's never a 100% chance that no one is not until you see then in person face to face. But there are things you can do to reduce a person fear of you being a catfish. It's literally so easy to prove, I kid you not. PLUS if you're not a catfish but people THINK you are... Take that as a compliment.
What if "she" was leading some guy on? That'd hurt him. It betrayed my trust thinking I'm talking to someone my age who's some creep No, it didn't hurt me, but it's a messed up thing to do.
