So every year I try to make Christmas special for my kids. I can't go all out as much as I would like, but normally who can. I am wondering what traditions the lovely people of pimd have. Maybe I can add to what we do now. Every year my boys help put up the tree. Then they wrap the presents for each other (w/ a little help from mom and dad). Then the countdown begins. Christmas Eve is w/ my family, to the kids it is like a pre-christmas. Then when we get home we make cookies for Santa and "reindeer food", my oldest came up w/ that one when he was 3. Throughout Christmas Eve they call the Santa spotter hotline to keep track of where he is. Set out the milk and cookies (and reindeer food) have a small snack and off to bed. Christmas morning is a free for all. Presents and stockings. Then I make a special breakfast. Each yr I trade off who picks the meal. Then A Christmas story marathon while I make the ham and all the trimmings. And the boys off playing w/ their new toys together. I would like to add more special. My kids are little for such a short time and I want them to hold the magic as long as possible. I welcome any ideas that people may have. Most people have that one special thing that made Christmas special and a blessing to them. Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas people of pimd. And a wonderful blessed New Year full of love and laughter.
Awww that's so sweet and I wish I had a suggestion, but kids don't even like me for the most part and I have no idea what to say.
Christmas Eve- We always make a gingerbread house, watch the movie Christmas vacation, and open one gift (pajamas) Christmas Day- We wake up and open 5-10 gifts and then make cinnamon rolls and then finish opening the rest of the gifts. We then invite about 50-60 friends and family over for a big Christmas dinner We do more, but I can't remember?
