  4. Not allowed to donate blood :( always wanted to give back, especially as I have had 5 blood transfusions myself, but medication prevents me from donating :(

  7. I actually donate plasma twice weekly, I'm o positive though so if a natural disaster hit I would switch to donating blood to help. You can only donate one or the other.

  11. Yep! Obviously you can't have been drinking when you donate, but otherwise it doesn't affect your blood!

  12. They may check your liver and blood, but unless there is a severe problem, it'll be fine 

  14. It depends on the quality of the blood, they will run tests, and in a couple days you will find out if you are eligible.

  15. I've had a blood transfusion to save my life 
    I wish I could give back, but unfortunately I don't qualify because of the transfusion

  16. I support the donation of blood. Sadly I cannot give blood. I gave blood once and I had excessive bleeding. They told me its a kinda rare case but people do tend to have that. Which sucks because I didn't know this til high school. I always just though my injuries just bled a lot because it was a bad cut.
