Just letting you know, if you get a new piercing or tattoo you will have to wait a few months just to make sure that you don't have an infection and you also can donate if you've had chemo therapy or anything like that, I figured that out the first time I tried to donate.
If your blood type is O, it's universal. That means anyone with another blood type can accept O blood into their body if their letter type of blood is unavailable. Got O? DONATE! You help everyone.
Don't forget, if you've recently had tattoos or piercings you can't give blood. Normally need to wait 6months after.
Also, you can't give blood if you're a man that's had intercourse with another man. Or if you're a female that's had intercourse with a man that's had intercourse with another man.
Honestly, it's true. When I gave blood they gave me this massive form to fill in and those questions are included. The questions were so bizarre that I still remember them.

When you want to donate and you're scared, imagine that there's another person DYING and depending on you for a second chance in living. How scared do you think they are? A split second of pain for another person's life. Go to your local blood drive!
What if someone's a gay and doesn't have AIDS or any STD's can he be allowed to donate? Am no gay,just asking
who ever wrote this thread ♡ thank you. I used to give blood in my highschool years, little did i know, i devolped a lung infection and took me out. I encourage people to give blood, i would but i can't.
I donated blood before but now I keep getting phone calls asking me to donate blood again... And again...
