Sorry if its stupid to you. :/ Just wanted to make thread. Being generalized under this "girl gamer" stereotype that guys have bothers me and well I'd like to point that out.
Just...I get where you're coming from...but why would you advocate "quizzing" anyone on what they play/what they're doing? That sounds..super judgmental. I couldn't answer half the questions you suggested, but I game and I'm a gal. I dont call myself a "gamer" because of the terrible stigma attached - and "quizzing" girls to make sure they're "real gamers" (whatever that means) sure isn't helping that stigma.
It doesn't really matter what gender people are to me, if they're nice or cooperative/a good challenge is what matters. #MLGPro
I like those types of games as well. So yeah Andddd to be a girl gamer you don't have to play mainstream games all the time. I like GTA V the most but I play other games as well.
Sexist much? Like guys aren't posers? This reminds me of the "how to tell if a girl really knows football" crap, as if some guys don't pretend to know a lot too.
I do think I'm pretty good at bo2 esp as I don't quickscope ;-) Also I really loved dragon age and skyrim, spent many hours and loads of coffee on those 2. I hate playing against girls that say shit like "omg you killed me *giggles*" "I so can't play this *giggles*" or those ones that call you names just because you killed them multiple times, its just a game settle down lol

To be honest, you don't necessarily have to play Call of Duty to be considered a "gamer". All in honesty the main reason I only bought and played the Call of Duty Series was because of Zombies other then that I ignored multiplayer because it doesn't suit me. As for Zelda I don't think you have to mark it as "female players only play the old school ones" like all in all as long as you played one it's still a classic re-made or not. My first Zelda Game was Majora's Mask. Another thing I personally know some female gamers and they play whatever they want and I don't judge. Some play: The Last of Us, GTA V, I Am Alive, Uncharted.. The list goes one. Games are games in the end of the day it shouldn't be judged on the person or how they play or what gender they are. As long as you're playing what you want and having fun I think that's all that matters
Do you quiz guys as well? Seems weird you would do that... Have you ever seen video game high school ? People have games they enjoy. It defers from person to person like books or movies
How about we just call them gamers. Anybody who feels the need to light up their gender is an attention whore. Also, anybody who acts like certain games are what make you a gamer is a moron, and again just another attention whore. If I play a game and a girls voice comes on and says "Omg I'm a giiiirrll I'm playing a gaaaaame" then most people will tell her to shut the hell up. If the same person instead said something contributing to the game like "I'll go here"/etc then nobody will act any differently. On consoles it may be different, but I play on pc so I wouldn't know.
