Creating Your Rp
Good Rps last a lonnng time, they have over a thousand pages and lots of players!
Examples:
-Hp Generation
-Vampires vs. Warewolves
And a more recent one
-Black Rose Academy

And yours can be just as amazing too (though probably not)!!

Five things YOU NEED!!

1.A Common Enemy
People love something to hate, they need a goal, someone who seems untouchable to fight!!

2. Leadership Roles
These would be roles in your Rp given to people who you know will help keep the RP moving

3. Interesting Back Story
This is where most people have a hard time. You need a reason for why, say for example; A science lab is creating mutant Humans.

4. LIGHT Romance
When it comes to Romance, it's always a good option to try and keep it out for at least 100 pages, but do have an option for it because as your players characters develop, a little spice here and there won't hurt.

And finally...

5. Something NOT Normal
Very few people want to Rp the Real world. People Rp to ESCAPE their every day problems, not re live them. Here are some go to Elements that you could use:
-Creatures
-Futuristic science/ Mutants
-Something Mythical (Like Gods)
-Secret Powers
-End of the World Situations (Disease, Zombies)
-Secret Organizations (Spies, Gangs, Cults)

Fail Rps
Not all Rps will work out once created, or even started. Some wither and die, like they are infected with a disease or a Virus.

And if your Rp is suffering from 3 or more of the following symptoms, you my friend have FailNoobRpItis

1. Inactive Leaders
Either you, or your admins have gone inactive. With no one to guide your Rp, your players will feel bored or stuck and this leads to an inactive Rp

2. Inactive Players
You, your self, and one other person does not make an RP

3. TOO MANY RPS OUT
FF'ers HATE flooding forums with Rps. Just follow this saying that will keep you out of harms way; If there's more than 3, let it be!

4. Un original
Whether it's the Idea or the Plot or maybe just the choices of Characters; if it's unoriginal it is out as Spam to everyone else. (Highschool Rp... is NOT a new creative idea!!)

5.Bad Grammar/Spelling

(This thread probably riddled with terrible Grammar... And spelling. Haha!)
There are so many amazing and experienced writers and players who will look at your thread. If they see that you spelled you as u... they will inform you (So many You's)! And although you can say, let the haters hate... One 'hater' comment from a respected Ff member and your Rp is chalked up too Spam and will be avoided like the Plague!

6. Undeveloped Background

If your intro sounds anything like "you r all Monsters n Highschool... Go!" You are on your own to be fed to the Evil trolls and Haters of FF.
One Paragraph at least is needed!

7. Limited Player Spots
Make your Rp where any number of people can join into the Fun you have created!! And have at least ONE character choice be unlimited for players.

8. One Sided Groups
Hmmm... 16 people as Vampires annnd 2 people as Werewolves... THIS SHOULD WORK BEAUTIFULLY!! (That was wrong by the way for those of you who didn't get it...)

9. No Eye Catcher
Have a cool Title and some Graphics included in your intro to make it interesting. You want the players to OPEN your Rp annnd READ it at least!!

10. TOO MUCH ROMANCE
When you have five whole pages of Kissing or time skips... It will slow your Rp down... And Kill it!!

Keeping Your Rp Active!!

Congratulations!! You have made a semi decent Rp (Hopefully an awesome one though)!! Now here is the Hard part, keeping it that way. Now all Threads die, but some DO last longer then others and here is basically why:

1. You
You have to put in Time and Effort in your Rp! Don't make it all about you but help guide things along!! Create mini problems for players to work out and an environment where if you are not on, they are not left stranded.

2.A Goal
A long set goal is the key to everything!! Something that your players can achieve and take time to accomplish!

3.New Players
Now don't accept people who would hurt your Rp or slow the progress, but always make it an option for new characters to join in the fun! New players who are GOOD keep things interesting and will make the Rp last longer!!
