Hey everybody! I decided to make a little forum post to get people into the holiday spirit! (if you weren't already hehe) SOOOOOO.... I've had so much good food from family and friends over the years. My step dad made an amazing bread sauce for our turkey. One year I stayed with a friend whose mom used to own a restaurant. She was such an amazing cook, she made these mini cream biscuits that we dipped in a made from scratch cream of mushroom soup that she topped with bacon and cheese. She also made a triple chocolate cream pie with an amaretto cookie crust that was just heavenly. My mom makes a Kahlua pecan pie, so good Thanksgiving evening with a cup of coffee. This year, we are having a small celebration at my house. I am pretty good at cooking the turkey, making the skin golden and crispy while keeping the inside juicy (the foil triangle is key look up Alton Brown's recipe). I am also trying out a pumpkin cheesecake with a ginger snap/pecan crust and some Southern style baked macaroni and cheese. So ready to welcome that food coma!!!
