Anyone here has seen the movie ? If yes, leave your feedback about it ? I thought it was great, as I'm a huge fan of science fiction, I must agree with the fact that some ideas were taken from Solaris and Odyssey 2001. However, the drama was so intense and well realized, made it pretty cool. All the actors had great skills, specially Matthew, a actor I have always liked, and he was perfect in all the shots. Special effects were damn good. Finally no 3D, all numeric ? for a better brightness and better contrast on the black colors. If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it. Right now. Don't wait for the streaming bull****.
I watched it and thought it was pretty good, kept you wondering what was going to happen, how they'd overcome the next challenge. BUT, I thought they got too deep into the story, couldn't figure out a sensible way to end it and came up with a weird far fetched answer and he randomly ended up being rescued. Bit of a let down to be honest. I enjoyed the first 2 hours though.
Me too, but that's a classic to Nolan, it was the same with Inception. I think he wants us to make our own ending with our understandings of the movie. I can't tell more about it otherwise it's gonna spoil people who hasn't seen it but Nolan likes to make ambiguous endings You make your own ending in some ways
It had nothing to do with gravity ... ? absolutely nothing. It's like saying Star Wars is like Odyssey 2001 ... 2 complete different movies but the same genre. And it seems a little bit like Inception because it's the same producer, Christopher Nolan, shots, techniques, actor plays, drama, music (Hans Zimmer) are all the same so yes, it has a little something with that one.
I haven't watch it yet mainly because its like $20 for both my an my bf to go to the lovies. But as far as reviews go I know a few peoplw that said it was pretty good.
I loved the concept and theme of the movie. Seriously. Everything about space time travel, gravity and the dimensions that seek to exist are phenomenal. The next time a book falls off my bookshelf, I'll question if it's higher intelligence humans from the future. Scientific stats were also correct in the movie- the hole folds itself to create a shorter gap from one end to the other. When drawn on paper, we don't visualize it as a 3D object. But yes, they also mimic the shape of a planet. However, some stuff was far fetched. A mass amount of humans (everyone from Earth) could not live an entire lifespan on a space station. It doe support life, but I wouldn't chance more than a years worth of time. However, the planet Kelper does mimic that of the Earths density and environment. Maybe on day life could sustain on another planet, but Saturn would definitely not be it.
Also, the message of the movie was a bit alarming. It said that we are supposed to leave earth, not sustain it. That's why other planets exist. Errrrrrm, not quite. Please still recycle.
Actually a lot of people have seen this movie, it grossed nearly 9m in box office this week alone, making it set to be one of this years big releases. Some issues with this movie were that all IMAX files were faulty causing there to be flashes and loss of picture at certain parts of the film. Another issue is that due to the use of IMAX cameras, some sound quality was lost as the music overpowers the voices. All together though its a great film, I think I've seen it 5 times in IMAX so far  though I get free films so don't judge too much  BTW these issues and box office figures are in the UK and the files no longer seem to be corrupt
I didn't have that problem in France... And Nolan is not really telling us to leave the earth, he shows us that in every situation possible, Hunans will find or at least try to find by any means a way to survive. The story is happening in the future, so of course it doesn't make sense according to our technology today, that's why it's called a Sci-Fic movie ?... Btw its in a world under the apocalypse, things don't go spectacularly like we see it in other movies (2012, zombie land, I am a legend ... The list goes on). Things die slowly, and painfully. That's the aspect I really liked, it was truthful and realistic on a lot of points. I can't tell more otherwise I'll spoil. Btw, you should edit your message man, you're spoiling all the movie ?
