I'm very angry right now, and quite hurt. So if any of this offends you, I apologize in advance because that is not my intent. Please excuse all typos. Now I'll begin by stating that I am a black female living in America and the following is based on my experience with people of all races. I hate racism. I hate that racism is a thing. I hate "hate." It's a nasty feeling, but I hate racism more. Ironically racism is a type of hate. And moreover it is still a heavily prevalent issue. So when people tell me "People need to stop making race an issue" I get a little hacked off. As long as we as people are different skin tones. There will be hate. Because the fact of life is, SOMEBODY ISNT GONNA LIKE YOU!!!!! And sometimes there unfair, unwarranted hatred stems simply from you looking different. That's reality. It hurts. That's life. I say that because "racism" is often associated with white people. White uneducated people who are overprivileged. Let me just start by saying ANYONE OF ANY COLOR CAN BE RACIST!!!!! There are racist ass black people who would die before they were seem with another black person. They don't even want to hear about the different kinds of black people and how you can't lump them all together. They so no. Black people are lies, cheats, scum of the earth. And some people feel that way about ASIANS. INDIANS. MEXICANS. Hell a lot of people of color (minority groups) hate white people. *GASP* People hate WHITE people? Is that possible? Lol with all this crap about everyone aiming to be white you would THINK no one hates white people. But there are people who see white people and think "liar" "cheat" "racist" "asshole" "oppressor" "scumbag" "self-entitled" So when people talk about white privilege..... I think "yes" there advantages to being white in this world and WHY? When so many people are filled with white hot rage against white folk? Because of racism. Who the hell is giving these white people all this damn privilege? I'll tell you who. People who have got it in their minds that white people are angelic beings. We think the nazis were crazy but look at some of the people that live among us? WHO THE FUCK PUT WHITE PEOPLE AT THE TOP OF THE DAMN TOTEM POLE?!?! More specifically white, blonde, blue eyed people. Which is generally concerned the epitome of beauty. Anyone ever hear of Helen of Troy? Hmmmm? Honestly I think we're bred that way. The majority is bred to believe that the epitome of beauty lies in fair skin. Fair eyes, and fair hair. Soft silky like the wind. Which sounds great really. All you blonde silky haired beauties keep on keeping on. But when did some dead civilizations idea of beauty become everyone's? Look. I'm black. And not mixed black. Or light brown. I'm not a yellow bone or whatever the hell they call it. I'm dark. I'm a dark skinned black girl and I'm pissed off. Because even when we don't want white girls, people want light girls. And that's an international thing. And people say oh that's silly dark skin is beautiful. DAMN RIGHT IT IS. But it sure as hell isn't for everyone. I just want to know what makes lighter skin so much more palatable. Because the majority, be they Latino, Caucasian, Asian, Black whatever So I rant because I'm angry and bitter. Because if it's not racism then it's colorism. I rant because despite what black people champion: "that MY black is beautiful"....... The black community makes me feel almost as left out as the white community. Whether I'm too dark. My hair is too nappy. I'm not black enough for the black people or too white whatever. or I'm just not the token black girl that my white friends were looking for. It all leaves me wanting to scream The "you're a pretty for a black girl" "I don't really go for black girls" "Ha, I'm way blacker than you" "Girl, quit acting so white." And for the JUDGMENTAL ASS PEOPLE who give me non stop crap about my hair. Whether it's too nappy and needs a perm. Or "Is that your real hair" "Can I touch it?" "Why are damaging your hair like that, go natural!" "Your hair is so long why wear a weave?" All of those hair people need to stop. Because my hair is my business and I don't need your 2 cents. And end rant. If you made it through all of that props to you!
I mean people have their own opinion on beauty you can't be mad at someone for not thinking your attractive that's not racist
Bullwinkle, read it before commenting on something that wasnt even remotely close to the point. And Arrow, as long as people are different there will always be hatred in this world. (A little dark and clichè but true) And unfortunately, most people were just raised that way by parents and/or their environment(a predominantly one race area) Itll never be the way that MLK wanted, but the only thing we as people can do is raise our own children right to not be judgmental of others differences
Im white and I hate some white people for being stupid. I also hate people who think that the it's always the president's fault, like wtf don't you know how the government works? off topic i know sorry
I'm white, blond, blue eyed I get racist remarks from black and Latino people like daily But I say to one of my friends"what u talkin bout vato(vato means"guy" or "dude" in Spanish)" and I'm apparently the racist-_-
I'm not mad because someone doesn't find me unattractive. I'm mad because people are convinced they never be attracted to whole demographics of people because of preconceived notions of what beauty is. Some people are just ugly and that's fine. But some people are not and yet they are made feel that way because of skin tone.
Actually she did somewhat say that jaxI 100% agree with the first half but if you keep reading it talks about that in the second half
Lol Rune Racial tensions are very high in the modern world and I must say that certain things are blown out of proportion. Probably just a misunderstanding between you and him about what your were trying to say
You said racism is often associated with white uneducated people which sounds racist to me, if I was to say that but replaced the word white with black id cop so much crap saying that I'm a racist. The fact you had to say "white people" is racial comment
