Inventions (Non-relationship topic)

  1. I just picked up a curry on my way to work from the local takeaway shop, got to work for my night shift, settled down, got my chicken tikka masala and egg fried rice with an onion bhaji out, all set to eat and disaster! I forgot to bring a fork or spoon. Instead of eating with my hands like a barbarian I made a spoon out of the tin foil my meal was wrapped in like a genius.

So my question is, what homemade inventions have you made when things stop working or you haven't got something? How do you improvise?

Note: I do not want a date.

  2. I once did a trap in middle school...

For that nasty kid that always took my eraser...

It was done out of books and flags.

Anyways it worked, i found out who was always stealing my eraser.

  3. I'm curious how this worked? More details please.

  4. Next time order a chicken karahi and ask them to make it "desi" or "apna" style and have it with roti or Nan and for starter order a chappal kebab. You'll enjoy it a lot more than your usual.

  5. Well we had cubicles..

Whenever i stood up every single day, someone stole my eraser.

So i put the books and some little miniature flags in a way that the weight of the eraser if it was lifted the whole thing would fall apart.

So i walked of my cubicle and all the stuff fell down and i caught the kid red handed.

  6. K ready to have your mind blown? For this project you will need:

    *something solar powered. 2.1v
    *phone charger
    *electrical tape

Take solar panel out of a toy, solar light, or order one online they are less than $1. Strip the wires.
Cut the phone charger, keeping the end that plugs into your phone plus a small bit of wire to work with. Strip those wires.
Match them up, twist together, add electrical tape. Booooooooom your phone is now solar powered. I used a 3D printer to make like a key fab thingly mine sits in, and i always have it on my keychain now for emergency power on the go.

Say goodbye to being plugged into the wall all the time!

I tried to market this idea once but the patents already exist. So go fourth and make your own!

  7. These are good! Keep them coming. My tin foil spoon seems very basic now.

  8. Take a subject and a predicate. Throw in some proper capitalization and punctuation, and you have a sentence.

  9. I made an invention, but I was to high to remember what it did or how I made it.

  10.  I broke my thong (aka flip flop) at uni yesterday.. The little plug underneath popped off.. Not wanting to walk around in one shoe, or barefoot, I went through my backpack to see what I could use to hold it together til I could buy another pair..

I found my mini sewing kit, and thought a needle might work (dumb), but as I tried to push it through the rubber, it snapped in half.. Couldn't push it in or pull it out ? thought I'd use that to my advantage, and tried to tie a button to the end with a piece of ribbon, like a plug (dumb)  I had half a needle, some ribbon, and a button tied around the end of the toe piece, and it wasn't working..

Sooo, I pushed a hair elastic through the toe hole, looped it around again, and tethered it to the buttony-ribbony mess, and voila! It worked!  it held long enough for me to walk to the bus stop, then through the mall to buy a new pair.. Problem solving skills ftw!! 

  13. Invention: To make yourself cooler than cubes

You will need: some spheres. There. Done. You're cool now.

  14.  ahli that's wonderful 
