I was scrolling through my newsfeed on a social app earlier today, and a friend had posted some pics from her trip to Taiwan.. As I looked through the pics, a few grabbed my attention.. I couldn't believe it She'd gone to a Cat Cafe. No.. Really.. Some of you may already know this, but I was surprised to find out that Cat Cafes actually exist.. And they're becoming more and more common. There are already some in major cities here in Australia! Most are like normal cafes, just with scratching posts, hidey holes, and an abundance of cats.. Some have low, squishy couches, and giant floor cushions, so people can sip their coffee and get a lap cuddle at the same time Apparently, the first Cat Cafe opened in Taiwan in 1998, and are now home to many abandoned kitties.. The Cat Cafe in Melbourne, Australia, adopts all it's kitties from the RSPCA. Customers pay a cover charge to enter the cafe, which goes to caring for the kitties. It's a great idea for those who love cats, but can't have one where they live. It's also great for the cats who weren't adopted to families to get a bit of love. Can you imagine having a latte, and watching them play, and do stupid cat things? or just watching them be all cute and sleepy, lazing in the chair next to you? Pretty amazing right? Would you go to one?
That makes my allergies go crazy just looking at it. I'm actually allergic to cats, I sneeze and get stuffy and itchy. I wouldn't frequent any place that had them rolling around on the furniture. But I'm sure it draws a large crowd of old ladies lol.
aww Boo, that sucks! Stay far away Svet, you're right, cats have a habit of entwining themselves around legs I wonder how many people have tripped? And they'd have to have litter trays away from customers, but it'd still smell And it's brilliant, huh, Arrow? Good for customers and cats alike I so wanna go to one my cat would be pissed for days, smelling all the other cats on me though
