  17. Our big thing were the Saturday Morning Cartoons. On weekday mornings, the grown ups watched the news. On Sundays, they got This Sunday Morning and Meet the Press. But Saturdays belonged to the kids. Some of my favorite shows were Garfield, Muppet Babies, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Pee Wee's Playhouse, and Charlie Brown. My sister and I also ate sweet puffy cereal, and drank coffee with 8 spoons of sugar in it, like no one knew sugar was bad for you back then.
