To address Mikes post. My friend was recently talking to her family about her step sister who she was worried about because she's obese. That's not okay?
It sounds like your friend and her family are concerned about the step sister. Seems like they want to make sure she doesn't suffer from any issues that can come from having to much weight.

Any kind of body shaming is awful. Just because someone's underweight doesn't mean they have an eating disorder, and it feels awful to be accused of that. They might just have a fast metabolism.
