So I tried to make this as an rp quite some time ago .-. Then I quit. But I thought, it sounds like a good base for a story so... here we are .-. I'm not sure if I should continue this as a story so, after reading it I was hoping that I would get feedback and stuff. *** Long ago, there were four known guardians in the world. Each with the physical size of a mountain, they were terribly strong. They were the protectors of the world, managing the peace and quiet. Nobody dared defy them. Each guarded a key, hiding it from the evils of the world, as these keys held great power. The guardians used to be respected and feared, but with recent technology, the humans saw no need for them, and thought that if destroyed, they could control the Earth themselves. They hunted the guardians, and they had no choice but to hide, shrinking to the size of a normal human, and blending in with society. Now, no normal person cam identify them. Most choosing to be teenagers, they don't age, and are constantly moving around the world to avoid suspicion. However, it is time for them to take back their place in the world. To be the protectors of the world once again. And to aid them, a mysterious aura has drawn them to Royal Eastwood Academy in Venice, Italy.
Chapter 1 ~*~^~*~ Venice, Italy. *** It was almost seven in the morning, and nothing could be heard, except for the familiar trickling of water in the canals that surrounds the city. Meanwhile, in a tiny house at two stories tall, a girl was alone, muttering while staring at a bright screen. "Go for the penta, girl, go for the penta," Her eyes not leaving the screen, she tapped away at her mouse and four keys, 'Q', 'W', 'E' and 'R'. From her headphones, a woman's voice could be heard. "Double kill," her face was twisted in concentration. Not long after that, the woman spoke again. "Triple Kill," Straight after that, the same person spoke, making it obvious that it was a recording on the computer. "Quadrakill, Pentakill!" At that, the girl grinned, and then the screen panned to a gigantic tower, and it exploded. The word 'Victory' was shown on her screen, and she took off her red and black headphones from her head. She smoothened out her straight hair, natural black with some red hightlights she did by herself. "That, my friends, is how you League." After she clicked the 'Continue' button, the end screen showed the results of the game. The numbers beside her username was 13/1/2. "Alright, that's all for today. I've got to go to Royal Eastwood, so see you the next time you click my video. Thank you for watching, this is HorusForest, signing out." From skype, her teammates chorused, "Bye Jayley," The girl called Jayley smiled and said goodbye, then saving the recording of her playing and signing out, finally shutting down the computer. She would edit the video later. Jayley is a slightly popular youtuber. Her username was HorusForest, and she did gameplays. Her longest running series was League of Legends, it being her favourite game. She also like playing pixel horror games. However, a condition prevents her from playing and games in a first person camera view, and hence, she could not play some of her favourite gamed that often. She loves talking to her viewers, but although she loves making videos, her updates aren't regular as she is usually busy with her school life. Jayley turned her chair, and stood up, looking through the window beside her computer. Even though this was going to be her second year in Venice, she was still not used to the canals that are seen everywhere. She turned and headed for her bathroom to take a quick shower and brush her teeth. Jayley was born in Cairo, Egypt. She didn't like it a single bit, and begged her parents to let her study abroad. As she loved the waters, she wanted to move to Venice, Italy. When she turned 16 in July, her parents finally agreed to let her move to Venice, on the condition that her grades were reasonable. After she was done, she changed into her uniform that was hanging behind the bathroom door. As per normal, she stood in front of her mirror, making sure that she looked presentable. Jayley, being a bit of a perfectionist, studied every detail of her attire. Her winter uniform consisted of a white blouse, to be tucked in a grey skirt. She had to wear a blue and white striped tie, and a dark blue blazer with white edges over her blouse. She had thigh high black socks to protect her legs from the cold. On her breast pocket, Royal Eastwood's school logo was sewn. Royal Eastwood Academy was a private school in Venice. It is mainly a school that helps students who major in the arts and media. However, it also accepts normal students. Jayley was in the theatre department. She wanted to pursue being an actress. Jayley ate her breakfast of her favourite cereal, frootluips, and made her way for school on her bicycle. *** At Royal Eastwood, she parked her bicycle and walked quickly into school, not wanting to continue suffering at the hands of the winter cold. The familiar buzzing of the other students talking filled the hallways. Being only 160 centimetres, she couldn't see past anyone, so she elbowed her way through the crowded hallways to her locker, opening it for her books. First period of Mondays were always Homeroom, and after that was English. Jayley sighed and took out the required books, before her locker got shut quickly but silently. A rose appeared in front of her vision, and a familiar voice spoke beside her ear. "As mine on hers, so hers is set on mine; And all combined, save what thou must combine." Jayley rolled her eyes and looked at the guy beside her. "Yes, Romeo?" The guy beside her had brown hair and a similar uniform on, except, it was for males. Instead of a grey skirt, he had on a pair of grey pants. "I’ll tell thee as we pass, but this I pray: That thou consent to marry us today." Jayley ignored that, having been used to it, and started walking to class. "No, Landon, and I'm sure that is supposed to be said to the God Father." Landon followed after her and sighed dramatically, "O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts, And men have lost their reason. Bear with me; My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar, And I must pause till it come back to me." He then proceeded to weep. "I don't even think that's Romeo and Juliet anymore," Jayley grinned. Landon's expression went back to normal, now with a cheeky grin on his face. He took the books in Jayley's hands and wiggled his eyebrows, "Romantic, eh? Now will you accept me, milady?" "I think you know the answer," Jayley replied snatching back her books. The hallways were almost empty. The students in Royal Eastwood were serious about their lives, and already knew what they wanted to do in life. It is a competitive school as it was one of the few schools that talent scouts loved to visit for new money. Everyone battled their way to the top to be noticed and make their dreams come true. Jayley and Landon stopped outside of the classroom for homeroom period. They walked in together and took their respective seats. A guy from the front, who was Jayley's best friend, Ryan, wiggled his eyebrows at her, to which she replied with a roll of her eyes. Then, their teacher walked in and started to speak. Everybody listened to their teacher brief them on what was going to happen for the week. Jayley started to tune out and daydream, but then she was very rudely interrupted by her seatmate. Celeste had an annoyed look on her face. She was the most popular girl in school, and had the best fashion. Not to mention she had something big against Jayley's hair. She hissed, "Pay attention, Jayley!" Jayley's vision cleared and she looked to the front. Four students were now there, two males and two females. They seemed to know each other, as they were looking at each other, as if they were conversing in their minds. All of them were stunning, maybe even unnaturally. She stared at them for a while before something pulled her gaze to her Professor. She gulped. He was glaring at her. "Jayley, I hope you have a good explanation for not listening in class," Jayley shook her head quickly and blushed from the many annoyed looks directed at her. "Very well, as a punishment, you shall be the buddy of Alex." She looked at the students, wondering which one of the two guys was Alex. One was standing upright with his hands by his sides. His hair was brown and messy, as if he didn't bother to comb through it. He had a excited and cheeky look in his eyes, which were black. The other was leaning against the wall, with his arms folded. His eyes were cool blue, as if they didn't see anything beautiful in the world. In her heart, she silently prayed Alex was the former. Unfortunately, it was the latter who looked at her, as if he was expecting her to do something. She stood up awkwardly, and gestured to the seat to her left which was empty. Jayley could almost feel Celeste roll her eyes at her. As Alex made his way to his new seat, Jayley heard the other three students get assigned to their buddies. The other guy, whose name she discovered was Lucos, got assigned to Landon. One of the girls, Hayley, had brown hair, and fiery red eyes. She was assigned to Celeste, who started fawning over her eyes. The other girl, Sera, who was blonde and had honey gold eyes was assigned to Derrick, who was also in her department. He always got the male leads, and was one of the best actors. Jayley watched as he stood up to push the chair in for her, acting like a gentleman. Derrick was hardly a gentleman, he was arrogant and played with girls. Fortunately, Jayley was the only one who Derrick could stand talking back to him, for he saw her acting abilities equal to his. Alex finally reached his seat, which was all the way at the back of the classroom. Trying to be nice, Jayley held out her hand. "I'm Jayley, nice to meet you." He ignored her hand and sat down. Jayley glared down at him and plopped onto her seat, earning a giggle from Celeste next to her. "Great," she said, not bothering to hide it from her new buddy. ~*~^~*~ This took some research on some stuff. It may not seem much but boy is it hard to find information about Venice in Italy.
Omg this is a great story please wall me for updates. Bump! Please don't let this be another one of those stories which you give up on. please
Chapter 2 (I changed to first person cause I suck) ~*~^~*~ As the bell rang, which signaled the first lesson for the day, Professor Liten asked to see the four of us with our buddies. I looked at Ryan who was standing outside the door and motioned for him to leave first. Ryan nodded, smiling, then looked at the four transfer students with a weird look, then left. I turned back to Professor L. "After school today, I expect all of you to report to my office immediately for a briefing on what you are to do. For now, your buddy is supposed to follow you to every one of your classes," he looked at each one of us with our buddies. "Good, you guys are in the same departments, no trouble there, then." All of us nodded, save the irritatingly rude Alex. We were dismissed, so we headed for English. Everyone immediately talking to their buddies, finding more about each other. I tried, but this guy was as responsive as a wall. After trying to ask for his preferences, which obviously failed, I gave up. "If you're in the theatre department, can you at least act nice?" Alex glared at me. At least I got a response. Lucos then slowed down to walk beside me, "Give up, nobody can crack him," he said, not caring if Alex could hear him, too. "Meanwhile, I'm a single pringle and ready to mingle." Lucos gave a suggestive wink, but couldn't continue for long before Landon pulled him away. "Back off, bro," he smirked at Lucos. "She yours? Sorry, man, didn't know," Lucos started to walk further away. "Hold on, I am nobody's property," I said, trying to clear any future misunderstandings. I looked over to the girls and found Hayley glaring and Lucos. Interestingly, I also found that even after his many attempts at charming Sera, Derrick couldn't sweep Sera off her feet. By that, I was impressed. I look back at my partner, not willing to give up. "Why did you guys all transfer to Royal Eastwood?" Lucos, Sera, and Kayley looked at Alex. "Don't tell them," he growled, "A single word about it and I'll have you all killed." "Well, there's your answer." Sera shrugged. While we all had that conversation, we finally reached our English class. The Professor waved our greetings off and gestured for us to take our seats. After some introductions, for the four new students, class resumed. Lucos, Sera and Hayley came from California, while Alex came from Romania. I thought it was weird how Alex was not that close to them but they still gave him the most respect. I shrugged it off. Soon, the class ended with a cliffhanger from the story Professor Pots read for us. Everybody groaned, and piled out into the hallways of Royal Eastwood. "I have to go to my locker for my stuff," I mumbled to Alex, and followed the crowd. In between the second and third periods are always quite crowded, filled with people who were trying to get their books for the next two periods. For my class, the next two periods were Physics and then History. Once again, I elbowed my way through the crowd and opened my locker, stuffing my English book in and taking my Physics and History materials. After I was done, Alex and I headed for the next lesson. ~*~^~*~ Physics and History passed by very quickly, and soon, the bell rung for break time. We all headed for the cafeteria where we hung out. Usually, I would sit with my clique, consisting of Ryan, Landon, Derrick, Celeste, Marni, and Sami. However, today, the four of our buddies joined us. I introduced Marni and Sami to the new students. Lucos, Hayley and Sera immediately made friends with them but Alex remained silent. Suddenly, the cafeteria light switched off, leaving everyone in darkness. The entire student body erupted in cheers, including our table, leaving the four students clueless and speechless. A spotlight appeared on the closed cafeteria doors, and automatically, all the drummers in the school started whacking a beat on the table, as if they were all used to it. The doors swung open, and a procession of four dancers paraded out, attire decorated with red feathers. I looked at the four students and smirked. Even Alex, who was not capable of being human was looking at everyone incredulously. They must all think that everyone in this school was on drugs or something. After the dancers, came four men, shirtless so their toned abs could be seen. The were tossing fire all around, emotionless. Many in the school whistled for the men. After them, came four strong muscled men, pulling a carriage. The spotlight followed the carriage. Four more shirtless men and four more dancers followed and that was the ends. The four muscled men set down the cariage, and a man walked out of the carriage. The spotlight followed the man. "Good morning, sparrows of Royal Eastwood." He paused, and the students went wild, when they died down, he continued. "It is the first Monday of February, and you know what that means," he had to pause again. Only some of the normal students were quiet. "The commencement of the preparation for the Festival of Stars begins today!" More cheers erupted. "The theme will be 'Inspiration'. In other words, your performance has to inspire the audience." "That means talent scouts, job opportunies and bright futures for you all, remember, only the best gets a spot at the Royal Eastwoods Company. Good luck!" The man disappeared through the other cafeteria doors. Before the lights switched on, the cafeteria started buzzing with excitement. The four of the transfer students looked at us crazy, expecting somebody to explain. I knew that this was not a rare occurance, but I only transfered in July last year, so I was only present from then to the December concert. Derrick started explaining, "The Festival of Stars is a festival where all of the students, save the wannabes, perform, whether collaborated or alone. The theme is given on the first Monday of February, and that is when we officially start preparing." "Every year, Royal Eastwood's Festival of Stars will be broadcasted on international television. Everyone watches it, including the media and talent scouts. The Festival of Stars performance contributed to 75% of your 'Art' grade, and a fail in your 'Art' grade means you get dropped from the school. Not to mention the fact that if the talent scouts like you, you don't need to win to be noticed. Everyone still tries to win, though, cause R.E.C is the best company there is," Landon grinned. "There are rules though. For our age, explicit content is not allowed. We are allowed to perform as many times as we like, as long as we have one solo, and all our outfits are different. We get $2000 from the school to get ready our performances, cause they expect it to be top notch. We can keep the extra, the school wants us to learn how to save money like that. Maximum time you can have performing is 30 minutes. Because of this, T.F.O.S. usually lasts for three days, for 24 hours. We have about 350 students, you see. Basically, performances are on a first come first serve basis," Celeste continued. "Usually our clique does a performance together. Again, we're going to act a short skit. Landon writes and narrates, Celeste designs the clothes, Sami and Marni are in charge of the music and sound effects, Ryan does the props and stuff and Derrick and I act. Now we have more help from your guys." I said. For once, Alex listened through everything together with the others. I smiled. ~*~^~*~ The day passed quickly, and it was time to meet Professor Liten. He told us that our buddies had nowhere in the hostel to stay, so they were to stay with us. We were to help them with anything they wanted, and explain how things work in the school. He gave each of the four students a book list each and told them they had a grace period of two days. After that, we were dismissed. I went up to my locker, Ryan waiting beside, Alex trailing behind. "Mom said I should come over for dinner tonight?" Ryan nodded. Our families were quite close, so Ryan and I grew up together. Our mothers and fathers were best friends, and often went to visit each other. Ryan and I were almost always stuck together like glue when we were in primary school. When he got the opportunity to move to Venice, I tagged along. Mother asked Ryan's mother to take care of me, and so Ryan's mother asked me to call her Mom while we were in Venice. Apparantly, both our parents thought it was fate that a boy and a girl was born at the same time, and wished that we would fall in love and get married or something. I strongly objected to that, and I trust Ryan did the same. "Alex can follow, right?" I asked, as they were to follow us everywhere. "Actually, the guys and I were planning on buying our supplies tonight, and get a little used to Venice, can't come." Alex spoke. I looked at Alex incredulously, "You can speak more than 10 words at once, wow." He glared at me. I put my books in my locker and then shut it, hooking arms with Ryan and walking up to the exit. "So I'll have to get home first today to prepare." Ryan smiled charmingly at me, "Sure, pick you up at five?" I nodded, smiling back. There was a point in time when I swear I had fallen head for heels for him, but that feeling had passed. I think. We reached the school doors and he held open one for me while I walked through. "See you later," I said, waving. As Alex and I walked to my bicycle. I looked at him, sighing, "You don't have a bike, do you?" Alex shook his head and then took my bicycle by the handles and started pushing it. I tried to take it back from him but to no avail. He stubbornly held his grip, emotionlessly looking forward. After a few tries, I knew he was not going to let go, so I gave up and let him push my bicycle home while I led the way. At my door, I slipped the key into the lock and unlocked the door, letting it swing open. It was only then, after I was greeted by the emptiness of the house, when I realised that I would be a female alone at home with a hormonal male.
