Fawn was watching everyone, curious to how they acted when they weren't in cages or fighting for their lives. She curled up on her seat and watched them all, occasionally glancing out the window.
Claire realized what she said and tired her gaze to the floor silently. Alice felt someone looking at her so she reverted her gaze to Maeve. "Do you need something?" After a long while Claire murmured something only Seth could hear. "My brother. I miss my brother..." She whispered looking over at the affectionate displays of Alex and Fawn
Troy looks up at the helicopter above as he continues killing zombies in his way with rocket's. "Damn you rot bags...."
"He was an idiot. Alice killed him. He cheated on her with her own best friend." Claire explained softly.
Maeve adjusted the microphone on the helicopter headphones she was wearing before she started speaking. "Good afternoon, this is your host speaking. Some of you know me, but the ones who don't, I'm Maeve. I was sent into the scientific team by the Military of Defence from the UK to make sure all of you make it back alive. That mission was successful, although we do have a couple of injuries. We are currently flying to my base in the rural countryside of England where you will get debriefed. After that, you'll be free to goand live a new life in Britain, but will have to meet with me every two months, so don't go too far so it's expensive. Please enjoy the rest of the flight and I am available to answer any questions." Maeve moves the microphone up again before taking the headset off.
Amy and Joel sighed with relief. "I guess this is it," Joel said. "We did it dad," Amy said, hugging him, before starting to sob. "It's OK baby," Joel replied, smiling and hugging her back, "now we can go back home to our friends and family." He chocked when he said family and tears fell from his eyes as he thought of his dead wife. "Honey, there's something i need to tell you," he said, pulling out of the hug. "What is it?" Amy asked, glancing up at him. "You're not... You're not my child." he said sadly. "But..." Amy said, looking confused. "Just let me explain," Joel replied, "me and Kathy (his wife's name) couldn't... We couldn't have children. We don't know who it was but it just wouldn't...happen. We tried and we tried until, at last she got pregnant. But she fell ill and the child became to much so, when she was giving birth... She died. It was horrible. After so long, we got what we wanted only to have it and the thing I loved thr most taken from you. When they cut the baby out of her, she looked like you, beautiful... So I decided to adopt. It felt so wrong, choosing a child like you would buy a dog. That was until I found you, even as a baby you reminded me of Kathy and the still-born. So I chose you. It was the best decision of my life. This like ball of crying grew up into my greatest achievement. So... I'm sorry I never told you, it just hurt too much to think of Kathy. But I figured... Now is the best time..." He had had his eyes closed the whole time and opened them to look at Amy, half expecting her to be frowning. But she wasn't. She hugged him again and said, sobbing, "That's the saddest thing I've ever heard... I'm sorry. But you'll always be my grump old dad." They hugged each other until they grew stiff.
Seth: "i wont lie. Brothers can be absolute assholes.... but some arent always that way..." He looked at Alex. "Mines has hated me a long time now."
"I don't exactly hate my brother, nor do I hate Alice for what she did...I would've done the same if I was in her place..." Claire murmured. "What happened to you and Alex anyways? Why does he hate you so much? You don't seem half bad."
Troy looks up at the helicopter again and flys up using his boots, stopping when he's inside and sits with his legs dangling off the side.
Seth: "i...was the reason he chose crime. I used to get him into trouble for everything... and u see the scar on his arm... i gave him that."
Fawn smiled an held his hand, looking around at everyone. Lots of things were being revealed. She smiled thinking about her family but brushed away the thought quickly. She yawned looking around and listening.
