ATTENTION; women who have given birth!

  1. Obviously, if you haven't given birth, you're in the wrong place and I don't know what you could tell me unless your significant other has.

This is in off-topic so it's not just a pointless thread. I'm 39 1 today and I desperately need to know of any old wives tales that help with starting labor.

What helped you or what have you heard?

Gifting 5 roses to all who actually help and trolls get toilet paper. 

  2. You're 39 ? i thot u were…

  3. Spicy foods?

  4. 39 plus 1 weeks pregnant, re re.

  5. Yahoo answers give the best answers to this type if question.

  6. What helps with pregnancy is walking a lot you need to just walk cause if not its gonna hurt and you might need to get a C section 

  7. Wolfie, I have looked all over google and I was curious if anyone else has any that their family has passed down that's not widely known.

  8. I walk all the time

  9. Yea thats good cause i guess you need to get the cat to a certain size for you to give birth and walking helps

  10. Do froggy squats and intercourse also helps .

  11. Tablespoons of castor oil. My mom did it and was popping out my brother a few hours later.

  12. Well walking worked for me. I walked myself into labor. Also sex helps lol an just get active i kno at this point its like rest until baby pops out but get very active (of course unless ur high risk)

  13. Oh, and sex...lots of sex.

  14. Wouldnt it be wierd having sex with the baby in there 

  15. I don't have anyone to have sex with?So that's a hard one to accomplish. I don't really agree with castor oil because it causes problems with baby.

  16. Being sexually active actually helps the baby become healthy..like with the father. I don't have kids but I have 4 sister 4 brothers and like 3 nephews and 11 nieces..I know a little. And laughter makes the baby a happy baby. :D idk what else

  17. I tried everything I could find to induce labor, and nothing worked. Just walk and remember that anything you eat at this point is gonna come out one way or another. So the person that said spicy food.....that might hurt more than it is worth.

  18. See i knew walking was good and i know nothing about labor  im still 18 and childless 

  19. Honestly? You go into labor when your body is ready. Not spicy food, sex, castor oil, or any of the other old wives tales work. Drs can induce under new standards at 39 weeks, that's the only thing that will work. If its your first pregnancy, pitocin is a toss up too. Your baby will make its appearance when it's ready. Be grateful it wasn't before 36 weeks and you had a baby who needed NICU care. Just sayin!

  20. Lmao. Weird to have sex with a baby in there? How do you think it got in there in the first place?

I'm about problems. My mom and some other people I know used castor oil to induce labor (after their due date) and my brothers fine, 18yo and in the Air Force.
