I think that if you were able to gift avatars and beginners saw how cool it actually is to have a new avi, that it would light a fire under their ass to actually buy one. It could also be used as another currency encouraging those who already buy hypnocats to buy Avis, too. Which, guess what, makes more money for ATA. Problem solved with the argument that it would cost ata money.
Honestly I completely reject this idea, because then there will be an utter uproar via global chat or club chat. Imagine the amount of begging for ec and dn. Do you really want to go through that? It's a good idea and all but you have to take into account that 60% of PIMD's population openly begs for everything and refuses to do nothing for themselves. All this will do is reinforce the amount of begging we already see.
Then you should know how to deal with it already aye? There will always be beggars. They'll just beg for different things. Ignore them like everyone else. It isn't worth ignoring a great idea just because you're afraid of noobs continuing what they already do
Every time they open ata, they beg for SOMETHING. That's never going to change. Every game has those people. You shouldn't toss out an idea completely for something that already happens.
