Well I emailed devs and they said to point this towards the community to get support and that devs lurk forums apparent. Devs if you do read forums prove me wrong Idea : it's a short and simple idea with the sole purpose of reducing the amount of spam and low effort threads within forums of both games. Basically just adding a limit to the required number of characters needed to post a thread to stop threads like... Yes I have used kaw as a example if you don't like it my news is always open just keep your needless hate off thread thank you Pros : • less work for mods when having to lock these threads • reduces spam within forums • forces people to explain, and put effort into threads Cons : • none that I can foresee Id suggest the count to be 250 - 500 because people can spam a image witch uses up quite a bit of characters. And writing more than 500 characters can be quite easy is like writing 7 - 10 lines of text. There are many other forum improvements I have in mind that id like to happen as well. For example : • Enabling smart phones to edit posts. People know how horrible it is to make a thread that failed with bb codes or you said a naughty word and don't have PC near • deleting your own posts. This would be helpful when you say something you should have and know it or the post is no longer required and you don't want to leave links here and there • locking your own tread so only you can post and enabling it to be posted on again. There are times you just want to lock your thread due to it's purpose is no longer needed, or there's a noob that's flaming your thread, also it can be helpful when creating a guide or thread that requires many posts then enabling it again so people can support. ( if mods lock it's perm locked ) • flagging threads / posts straight to mod or dev for lock or deleting. It would be helpful if all mods got a notification about a post that's a bit naughty or just flagging the thread to devs so it can be review and deleted. •adding a support, like and dislike feature People could like and dislike posts as a social feature ( this isn't really needed but would be a nice thought ) But the support feature would be helpful as people don't like to post to a thread, for personal reasons but they can press a button for support. Listing the number of supporter next to thread name. ( you can only support / like / dislike a thread or post once ) List your comments below Or support if you like
Just smart phones can edit posts? :? No support  People wouldn't be able to make guides if there was a specific amount of characters to a forum post. :|
I don't see how these ideas are prevention though not allowing people to speak. It's their own fault if they are banned or silenced anyways so ill never give a crap about those who can't follow rules.
Guides are meant to be long and full of text / explaining. Editing allows making tweaks corrections and including support. Any good forumer would know it's annoying when you make a fuck up
Pros and cons about this idea Pros • I don't have any  Cons • People wouldn't be able to make guides • Limit to the pictures you can post • more spamming because you don't have enough characters to say what you want to say • Wolf would have to post a lot on his funny threads to show what he wants to show and what the campus loves to see him post
Exactly guides are meant to be long and full of text, and also helpful, if forums had a specific amount of characters then you couldn't make them
You noobs do know that good guides take a bit of effort more than 10 lines to be even helpful People won't be limited to pictures  I really do thing pimd forums had taken a bigger drop than usual with these dumbass comments do you guys even think before you post or do you just post willy nilly
It's a minimal not a max  If you carred to read you'd noticed that or can't you tell the difference between them ?
Sorry, but no support. That'd get annoying really fast. Not all comments need to be that long — sometimes you only need to comment a few words or a sentence. No support to the other ideas, too. If you get a forum ban, you could easily delete or edit your comment and email ATA. There'd be no proof that your comment actually happened.
No support for the characters Full support for the rest But it should be more like this Edit button, -sends update to support- request for lock update Its all like emailing support without actually emailing support And flag yes Like/dislike yes Id use the dislike, and update a lot.
When mods forum ban they write a report on why the said person has been banned, where devs will check, also forum bans don't last that long. Also there's a thing called SS
Yes I do know helpful, amazing, and good guides take more then 500 characters and 10 lines I think you should ask yourself if you knew that  because you said characters should be limited 250-500 and if they were, you would only be able to make horrible guides also yes you would be limited to how many pictures you can post because pictures would take up characters  Yes I do think before I post, do you? Why don't you try shortening your thread that is getting no support to 250-500 characters, and tell me what it's like making it.
As I said it's a minimal not a max Learn to read 250-500 is a suggested minimal number of characters required to post you can read as much as you want after from 501 - max character limit which is I believe 10k or something
