Michael was shot is the fact... if he had even robbed the store then what's the big deal in it..u can't kill someone for that and that too 7 shots.. Even his soul would have been injured. And,u guys demand justice i.e, for that white man Dylan... Well he too must be given equal attention and law is equal for all,No matter what your color is!! U ain't the one who chose ur complexion, it was totally gifted so don't boast about your complexion nor mistreat someone else's. What I feel is that this thread Or anything else shouldn't use the term blacks or whites.. Instead we should be recognized as Humans..yess Human Race This is the only way, humans will prosper. All are one One for all and all for one.
For one dude The Michael brown story is popular right now cause this racial profiling type thing has been going on forever to African Americans , The cops think a typical criminal is a black guy and that's not right at all , Why can't we just drive / walk down the street without being harrased?
What it comes down to is wayyy to many ppl are dying unnecessarily. Ppl of ALL races around the world. However, obviously there has been and still is persecution of minorities as well as racism. With that said EVERY unnecessary killing deserves attention and justice. The attention Michael Browns case is getting is not undeserved as many are implying. Many young blacks are killed and don't get the deserved attention of this case, which is the issue. But again killing deserve attention. I think ppl should instead constructively discuss the lack of attention to cases that deserve it, regardless of race. Because many cases black, white, and other don't get the attention they deserve! It shouldn't have to be about race. I hear all the time about someone who is Caucasian dying and getting attention and a minority doesn't. This is NOT ok. The reverse is just as HORRIBLE. It should no longer be this white kid, this black kid, this so on and so forth... it SHOULD be this HUMAN being was killed unfairly lets figure out why this happened and never let it happen again
...except for the fact that the cop had a broken eye socket from Mr. Brown attacking him, and Mr. Brown had attempted a gun grab (allegedly). Additionally, the cop had probable cause that Mr. Brown was the one who robbed and assaulted a convenience store owner just minutes before the confrontation between them. So, once Mr. Brown began to charge the cop after briefly walking away, the cop shot him... And continued to shot him because Mr. Brown wasn't going down (he could have been on drugs). It sounds to me like the use of force triangle was closed and the cop was in the right to shot Mr. Brown. A body can be considered a weapon. A fist is a weapon. A foot is a weapon. If you are a smaller person and your aggressor is very large, or if your aggressor appears skilled or even on drugs, one can justify that their fists, or their body is/was their weapon. I hope for justice in this case. Whether it be for the cop or for Mr Brown, I hope they discover the truth and justice prevails. On a side note, for the African American community to rob and loot small business owners in their town as their form of "protest" in response to this case, is just.... ...so typical.
It all comes down to whether Brown was actually intending to cause damage and to run from the authorities. If Brown had made an attempt to attack the police officer, the officer may shoot in self defense. However, the number of shots fired was in excess of what was truly necessary to subdue a struggling person. Also, a shot intended to kill can only go so far in the definitions of "self-defense", because that depends on whether Brown was armed and had the potential to do life-threatening things. Even if the officer correctly assumed that Brown was to blame for the robbery and assaults, the sentence of "death penalty" should only be given by the court, after all the available evidence has been reviewed and a fair trial has been given.
You don't shoot to injure, hate to break that to you. You shoot to kill. Once the decision to shoot has been made... You shoot until your target is down and no longer a threat.
You can thank the national media.... they report what they want and spin it how they want without facts that are credible.it's a tragedy regardless of who was black or white, both victim's family and officer will have to deal with this tragedy for the rest of their lives. It's not easy for either parties involved.
So typical ? You say that like it's impossible for any other race to riot or protest something they don't agree with. You're right it's wrong to be destructive about it but again people are only humans. Everyone isn't protesting the same way. Some take it way too far but every race any human has the capability to take it too far in extreme situations. Especially when you see the people that are suppose to protect you fighting against you. Most are actually simply speaking out about it and keeping the people informed. They've even brought in some celebrities that were also concerned like KeKe Palmer
And her mother who also got sprayed with water hoses for simply speaking out. Let's take into account the reason this case is getting attention to be honest it's not because a white cop shot a black kid ( it happens all the time ) where I live it's been 5 killings in the last 2 weeks alone. Young people. It's because the community took a stand and stood up for what they believed was right. They protested and demanded attention to the point were the cops were trying to keep them quiet. They didn't just shut up and take it like most communities do. It's crazy because it's not even a race thing. If the cops or your government fails you then why not speak out against it. If your not going to then why complain when others choose to do it. You feel you or someone else has been done an injustice open your mouth and speak up about it. As a White, Black , Mexican or any other lovely shade of this earth. A male , female , transgender. Anything ! Whatever you stand for. It's so unfair to categorize this as just the African American community acting out when the real issue is a failed government system. Injustice happens to every human
