After a conversation with a friend of mine, it has come to my attention that not everyone is up to date with the terrible condition known as Typoitis. Typoitis: Noun. A condition in which one makes typos while attempting to have a conversation on a digital device. This is not to be confused with Fypoitis or Autocorrectitis. Symptoms And Warning Signs: The person's typing will have a number of misspells When not double checking what they wrote, said person will make a typo at least every 5-10 sentences, if not more often. When double checking, said person will have a typo at least once every 20 sentences. Said person occasionally makes typos while attempting to correct previous typos. Said person occasionally gives up on correcting typos, claiming the activity is useless. If you think the person in question displays any of the aforementioned symptoms please continue reading to be certain. This is serious. Is it really Typoitis? If your reading this that means either you or a loved one display one or more symptoms of Typoitis. The following facts will either prove that they are gravely ill, suffering from Autocorrectitis or Fypoitis, or just have an occasional typo. To be classified as typoitis, the misspelled letters in a word must be positioned near the intended letter on the digital keyboard. For example, lets use the word purple. Correct Spelling: Typoitis Spellings: Here is an example of what I mean when saying "positioned near the intended letter on the digital keyboard." i will use the letter e as an example. If a person has Typoitis and the letter that they misspelled is e, than they would replaced the e with one of the letters that is highlighted above. Going on from the example, if the letter being used as a replacement is not one of the highlighted letters, then the person has Fypoitis, not Typoitis. If the misspell is one where the word is completely altered and turned into a new word, for example if the word elope was changed to the word elephant it would be a symptom of Autocorrectitis. If none of these apply to you or the person in question, then the situation may have just been your everyday typo. For your and their sake, I hope that this is the case. ️↝❥мͥɑgͣsͫ✾↜️
