There are billions of stars, and each star is a sun for a solar system. So many planets exist, I'd be extremely surprised if there WERENT aliens. I'm betting there are a lot of other planets with conditions similar to Earth and have life on them. Sure, they're probably not close enough to us for us to know about them, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
