Just found this section on the forums! I haven't written anything in years, so thought why not! Sorry for any grammatical errors, it's never been my strong point! ️ Here we go..!? ★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡 Part 1 - Flee the Park. Ruskin's park was buzzing with activity, the sun was high in the sky, illuminating the way for tourists, Londoners and performers alike. The picnickers were eating those silly mini sandwiches whilst clinking glasses of champagne together and howling with laughter. Parents were calming their screaming kids, who were smeared in so much sun cream I could of sworn they were ghosts. Whilst the greasy teenagers, flicked back their long fringes and stared upon the scene with uniformed distaste. Grunting and knocking back can after can before discarding them onto the plush green grass. I gazed around, considering how nice it was to be here, today, in the hustle and bustle of Central London surrounded by the usual flock. I shook my head, to regain myself and focused my attention back toward my wife. Who was sitting ahead of me with the sweetest smile on her face. It had been five steady years and yet every day she surprised me with her generosity and sense of adventure. I smiled back at her and raises my glass to mark our 5th anniversary together, "To us! Julie you always amaze me" I enunciated, "To us! Mike you are always there for me" she said, whilst resting her hand upon her stomach, which was perturbing from her silk attire. She was 6 months now and within her our little son was lying dormant, waiting to be born into our arms. "And then there were three" I said before sipping from my glass. I could not believe how lucky I was, a beautiful wife, a little kicker on the way and a whole new chapter to begin. I looked on as Julie placed down her sparking water and noticed a distant look as tears shimmered in her eyes, she clutched her tummy and spoke in a hushed voice, "Mike I just worry sometimes..." She paused, as suddenly a gut retching scream shrieked through the common. The high pitched yell of terror, went through me like a thousand spear. I jumped to my feet in a rush dropping my glass of wine. It landed witha crash and painted the grass red beneath my feet. I was overcome with worry as the busy chatter came to an abrupt halt, people froze and rose to attention. The silence amongst us was almost more deafening than the howling cries that were causing us all so much alarm. "What was that daddy?!" Whimpered a little girl on my left, who was being held tight, hugged into her father's chest. Everyone remained silent and still, as one after another, peoples yell of agony and fear travelled through the air to where we were all gathered. I looked to either side of me, my eyes darting through the sea of faces. Everyone was wide eyed and alert with concern. I diverted my attention back to the gathering of trees ahead of me, squinting as a figure came out from behind the dense growth of trunks. It was an old man, clad in tight blue clothing, white nikey sweat bands wrapped around his wrists and forehead. He was flourishing his arms and yelling, but none of us could distinguish his voice amongst the wall of screams that was now raging. The crowd round me all got to their feet as he closed in on us. Then ever so faintly we all heard it ring in our ears, "RUNNNN! RUN! For god sake, run!" At that moment I could feel the colour draining from my face, my heart sinking as I turned around and gazed upon the love of my life. The screams, fading away to white noise, my motions slowed, this second of terror stretching out into oblivion.... My only thought, I cannot lose them. I grabbed Julie's hand, lifting her to her feet, we both looked at one another terrified and then we ran, everybody ran. No one knew why, but we fled Ruskin's park, frantic, scared and with an overbearing sense that we were all alone and in imminent danger.
