Dan you don't really know who I am but I've always thought you were respectable, even though we disagree on many things. I totally understand what you're saying, I've had that feeling too and I see many long term players with it as well. This game is addicting as hell, and sometimes you meet pretty interesting people. When you open this app everyday and see the same things it's hard to leave. Makes me laugh at these people saying "the just leave". Most wouldn't and couldn't do it either. I think you should have a way to talk to anybody you are good friends with from here, then stop playing. You will feel much better. No need to waste time on something that only brings your attitude down, life is too short. Either way, I hope you have good luck in life. Make the most of it.
