Find a part time job in a field other than retail or food, volunteer, join a club, look around online for programs that you can get involved in. The only way you can find out what you enjoy is by doing things you've never done before, or trying things you have done in a new way.

If I didn't have 3 years of experience working in a library already, I'd probably go for something in astronomy. I love stargazing and learning about the different sorts of things off our planet. ️

 

What saddens me is as a teacher we're told to push our students into profitable careers. They expect me to tell someone who has dreams of becoming a nurse or a zoo keeper to be more "realistic ". Telling a child to drop their dreams and go for "what is needed" like programmers and such.. sickens me. I see a lot of people who gave up on their hopes simply cause of being told to seek something needed, then they go on to live unhappy lives. Do what you love, might not know what it is yet.. but that's why you try out different things. I'd rather love my work and live paycheck to paycheck than hate going to work and be rich.

At my Freshmen Year in college I just did Stupid things and wanted to fight the system and all this other crap.
-sigh- Why did I do that ?
Now I'm in my Jr. Year of college and I don't really think like that anymore mainly more focused on getting my Degree.
But yeah everyone who has been In and out of college can 100% relate to this even if you haven't done it you've seen people do it and regret it a couple years later. I sure do lol..
