I was thinking the same OMI. Only misses 9 premier league matches. 2 months of that 4 month ban is preseason!
Not only that, the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid were interested in signing him. This new biting scandal will throw them off and he potentially loses the big move he was anticipating. A good player but needs to grow up. He's a role model to millions of kids around the world and his antics will only show them that biting a fellow player is okay. A 4 month ban is too little especially considering he's had a hat-trick of biting controversies. A year long ban possibly more is more suitable for said antics. I'm disgusted at how the World Cup is now focused on this biting scandal and Uruguay once again. You'd think he has learnt his lesson from his hand of god moment in 2010 ? Not good enough FIFA ?
He shouldn't be a role model for anyone. Why are parents letting their kids copy celebrities? Can't you be a good enough role model to your kids or kids around you yourself?
Many kids do admire or idolise footballers, celebrities. And he's been banned for 9 international matches. 4 month ban from all footballing activity and a stadium ban within the time period as well
The celebrities have no responsibilities to these children. Parents should teach their children better than to allow them to idolise these people.
Thank you sweetie I see no harm in admiring celebrities or footballers. But for children to aim and be exactly like them worries me. Especially in the current generation.
You only need to look at players like Messi, never complains, rarely if ever dives, same with fouling. That's a good role model for kids. Suarez is blessed with immense talent but abuses it to such at extent that he is hated. With the popularity football gets at the World Cup you really shouldn't act like that.
Messi and Ronaldo are footballing idols. Suarez is just an idiot at the best of times. A footballer with skills and talents like his shouldn't abuse them. He'll end up regretting it when he's sitting playing at a lower level with a lack of interest in him from big clubs
