why does my mom like convicts?

My mom only dates cons or ex cons with no job and an agressve abusive attitude, I'm 19 and still living with her, (I have a job tho and help with bills)but it annoys me because all they do is do drugs, and get drunk and beat my mom everytime they get drunk or argue,and the sad thing is its a different Guy every month for the most part, I want to help her when she gets beat up, but then I think those are the type of guys she likes so why should I help right? Idk what do you guys think?

My dad was abusive when i was growing up too, but i only had one set of parents (till i went into foster care) my advice would be: become a body builder and live with your mom the rest of your life. Kick the crap out of anybody that touches her. It's scary watching your mom het beat so why don't you turn (or flip) the table(s)?
