Live a Little "Life goes on" said Marcus. Clenching his fists. "What we did in the past, is in the past. If you decide to go back to it then go. I will not put my life on the line again for that wretched fool!" He walks to the window, looking out at the nights sky. "Brother, you and I both know that the King is a fool. But he is like one of us. We all played out in the streets while we were young-" Marcus yells "Yes! But he is just like his father, the old king!" Now starting to pace around the room. "Do you not remember the promise we all made together when we were young!? We would be the ones to change this kingdom!" Marcus walks up to me and takes of his glove. And tries to calmly say "do you see this hand." I nod my head as to try and keep Marcus from going crazy. "That night, do you remember the promise you, me and Luther, before he was King, made on that night?" I shake my head once more to acknowledge Marcus. "On that night, promised to make this kingdom a better one that would take care of it's people." Marcus shakes his head and crosses his arms. He then looks me in the eyes.
Marcus with his piercing eyes says to me. "We each took a knife to our hands, and with blood shake each others hand as a promise as brothers and for our people." Marcus walks back towered the other side of the room. I can still feel the anger and sadness from those words. Marcus continues "For 10 years, we fought for and with Luther and his father. And what did we accomplish? Nothing! All we did, was follow the orders of King Cedius and look what happened! The exact opposite of what we promised!" Marcus starts to fiddle with the handle of his sword. "And now look at us, old enough to do something while the old King is dead. But now King Luther, seems to have forgotten our little promise and is a shining example of his fathers son!" Marcus leaves the room infuriated by just having to relive his past... While I am left in the room to think of why had I come back to this town in the first place... To be continued... Let me know if I should keep going.
