When you open this game and hit a party or get in a war or you farm someone for something that makes no sense.Guess what your doing? Your RolePlaying cause everything in this game is made up and this is a roleplayinf game
Meh I dont pretend to be in collage. I dont pretend that Im actually in a party or in a fight. This is a game. You press buttons, shit happens. Thats it
Stop trying to force us into liking roleplaying or trying to compare this game to roleplaying. Our intentions when playing this game is not to role-play or pretend we are the characters in our ava. Our intentions are to just play, click a few buttons, that is all. Therefore, you can't really say we are roleplaying. Do you see us acting like our ava's right now? No. If you think that this game is roleplaying then every game that you've ever played is considered RP. Even in your dreams you're RP. Fuck, even in real life we're RP sometimes. So, I would say no playing this game does not mean we are RP, only if you actually take this seriously which, I'm sure many don't. If you do take this seriously, then dude you have issues.
Ok wow I said it's not role play as in you act out in rl it's role play as in you have a certain role in a game that you control so yes almost every game can be classified as rp it has nothing to do with taking anything serious or not
I fail to see your logic. Rp is defined as pretending. Playing a game isnt me pretending to be what im playing. Im just playing
Just about any game you played when you were little had that aspect of roleplaying. whether it was an assassins creed game where you were traveling around smiting and killing your foes. or whether it was World of Warcraft or evem Skyrim where you took on the role of a swordsman or other things. whether it was a sports game and you were in career mode creating your own player to become a legend or making ur team the best. All these games made you take the role of your character or characters. Now i understand that most ppl dont get into it but when ur trading a player for another or battling a monster in the game or buying clothes or weapons for certain characters that does mean your engaged into the story of your character. Here in pimd we usually dont care what avatars we have i know that cause sometimes i put the girl avatars so for the certain build i want. However in any roleplaying game for example final fantasy all you do is mash buttons or move around pushing just buttons. However that doesnt mean you arent playing the game now does it? so even if you do only get on this game to unload on a party then get off or just quickly send someone a pm then get off or u get a few hits in on the oppponent in the war then get off your still playing the game arent you? your still opening up the game arent you? Now im not saying we are all crazy rpers just cause we open the game lol im just saying this is an rpg and even mashing buttons on this sometimes does count into that aspect.
Go back to page one and read the definition it's playing an rpg or even unconscious actions...so it's not pretending by definition
