So, I've been writing a story and I've come upon a bit of writer's block. So to try and get my creativity flowing I wrote a few short poems. And I liked one in particular and decided to share it. I hope you like it. The Lonely Girl She walks the streets In this empty city. She passes children And their families. They laugh and smile, But she cannot. She bows her head And keeps walking. If she stops She'll always be The lonely girl. She walks for minutes, For hours, days, months. A year passes. And she is still lonely. One day, she stops walking. And she looks around. The children are different. They've grown, And so has she. She takes another step. A step forward. And sees a boy, With green eyes. He sees her, The lonely girl The girl with blue eyes. And he smiles. At her. She smiles back. He walks over to her, And they start walking. Together. ~ Ivy :geek:
It was interesting I'm a literate freak so I automatically compare any poet to my fave Johhn Keats or really any poet like Shelley so its unfair I have to withhold my judgement haha It was pretty good though, from a novice author I liked it xx
