I just got back from my trip in Europe and I'm exhausted. It's a little scary how time seems to run so fast. I'll be making lil drawings and possibly comics sometime again but not as much as before because I have to triple my efforts into finding a job. It's a blow to my self-esteem on how I can't get a job until now but hopefully I'll make it. So how's everyone doing? Do you guys have a dream job or do you have no idea what you wanna do in life? (I'm in the lost category)
A revolutionary lone wolf game creator. A game that usually takes hundreds of programmers, game designers, visual effects designers, etc to do. But created by just one person.
I'm always a bouncy ball when it comes to what I want to do job wise- BUT that's because I have the mentality that I can DO anything! But, school always prevents me from doing these things to my fullest. Why? Cause it takes years and years to get a qualification in that field of interest. I studied business, law, and every now and then I want to be a therapist. I'm taking a few courses to see if I can maybe do it on the side, not exactly 100% qualified. My advice is try to do something that had a wide span (when picking a major to study). Also, EXPERIENCE is so vital. Get your butt out there and volunteer to do things to see what it is that you like to do. I couldn't ever be a nurse, touching old people freaks me out.
Pickles I wouldn't want to be the old person who's being touched by the nurse . Growing old frightens me.
I volunteer a lot, to find out what I like and don't like, and trust me, I DID NOT LIKE TOUCHING OLD PEOPLE. LOL. Some where bat shit crazy if you held them up wrong, or they spat on me if they didn't want their bed to be changed. That life wasn't for me.
Too late on the picking courses thing. I made a horrible mistake with my first course because there isn't a market for it here. I'm currently just going around doing random "jobs" for people to fill in my resume.
Yeah, building resumes is so vital. Sadly, everywhere getting a job is hard. Too much competition. I have more experience on my resume than actual paid jobs. I always managed to get a job out of the places I volunteered at for a few months.
I also need to work on my demeanor towards things. I tend to be really reserved and awkward so I think that works against me. gotta work on the confidence bit. I just worry that I'm "losing time" but my older siblings reassure me about it.
Fake it till you make it my friend. I know I sure do. don't fret though, you'll get a job I'm sure. You're a smart cookie. Nom nom.
I'm a nurse. And I like handling old people more than children. Cuz children will hate you forever especially if they seen you holding a needle Anyways, to OP wc back. And goodluck on finding a job
You know what, I learnt that you actually have to dumb yourself down to get certain jobs. No one wants to hire someone that's a threat to them or can step on their ladder. Read Wall Street articles, they give some good real life tips about jobs.
